Review: Some what disappointed - I used it three times and now it stop working, but don't get me wrong, while it was working it was great. But now I don't understand why it would. suddenly stop when it was.going so well, so I am returning and getting a replacement. Hopefully the new one will last longer. Updating " after over two hours i decided to truck to see if it will work and guess what? The product started to work again. I am guessing when the motor over heat it will stop working? I am only guessing but it work so I change my one start to five stars and I guess I will be paying for an extra grinder out of pocket but it's worth it i will just have a spare lying around the house. I recommend this product

Impossible to spill. It has two caps. An inner cap inside once you load it the plastic housing, you seal it with the plastic vacuum cap. Then place the outer cover over it, twist it slightly and push down activating the motor. Then grind away. And it's fast. I suggest shaking the grinder while grinding to get an even grind, depending on what you're grinding. The size is perfect. Durability and value are too soon for me to determine since I've only just received and started using it. Aesthetically very appealing. I will say price wise it's priced where it should be, comparatively speaking. I wouldn't have any problem recommending this product at all. Matter of fact, it was recommended to me.

**Q: Can I use this to grind ginger and turmeric?**
A: i wouldn't use fresh ginger or turmeric. However, this grinder is not a good grinder. It makes too much noise, and doesn't grind things to a powder as advertised. Don't waste your money.

**Q: If you can't take it apart, how do you clear the residue from affecting the next spice? I want to grind fresh herbs and dried without flavor transfer.**
A: I haven't purchased this but with many grinders you should grind some rice in between uses to clean out residue.

**Q: Would this work for eggshells without dulling the blades (worm composting)?**
A: The Cool Knight grinder is very powerful and should work with eggshells.  Be aware that , over time with daily use, the blades could dull and are not replaceable.

**Q: Would this grind black cumin seeds to powder? This are the size similar to chia seeds**
A: I grind coriander seeds to powder so I think it will do it

I bought the COOL KNIGHT Herb Grinder to kick my spice preparation up a notch, not for grinding coffee. The sleek design and promise of quick, efficient grinding had me excited to try it out. This grinder delivers on its promise with high-speed rotations and a capacity large enough to handle a hefty amount of spices at once. It made creating fine powders from whole spices for cooking incredibly easy and fast, which was exactly what I was looking for. The only downside? I just wish the grinder was battery-powered. Being tied to a power outlet limited its convenience, especially since I had hoped to use it more freely around the kitchen and outdoors.
