So far, I like it...
I've used Hybrid V7 twice now and I really like it. It smells great and is pretty much removed in an effortless manner. I don't intend on using it as a quick detailer for in between washing. My main use will be for... wait for it... DRYING my car. Once my car is fully washed and there's standing water left on the paint, I take a damp microfiber towel, mist the V7 in a sweeping motion to achieve better coverage on each panel, and then I dry the paint with the damp MF towel. Sounds kinda weird to dry water with a damp towel and using a liquid spray, but it works and the V7 adds a layer of lubrication between the paint and the drying towel, making a safer drying technique. The Hybrid V7 also adds a nice shine to paint that is well maintained or polished (in this case, my paint has been polished and well maintained) and also adds some slickness to the paint. My plan is to use it after every wash during the drying process and also add that fortifying protection for the paint sealant (Menzerna Power Lock, in this case), so I'm getting two jobs done during one process. My gallon of V7 is nowhere near done and I'm already itching to buy more, lol. EDIT: 05/07/2013 I recently made a discovery about the V7, a negative one at that. I use Menzerna Power Lock paint sealant on my paint as the main protection, two coats of it to be exact. I noticed that every time I used the Hybrid V7 after the wash during the drying stage, it seemed as if the water was no longer beading and had a lot of surface tension going on as if there was no wax protection whatsoever. After talking with some fellow auto geeks on the Autogeek forums, I've discovered that the V7 must not "play well" with the Menzerna sealant. It's not necessarily a bad product, the V7, but it seemed to have an ill effect on the MPL, so I stopped using it altogether and I moved onto using a different synthetic spray wax. I'm sure the V7 works well with other Chemical Guys products, but certainly not with Power Lock. If any of you guys use Power Lock, I suggest you use something else to top off your main wax/sealant protection.

Perfect for touch-ups between wash/polish/wax.
Perfect for touch-ups between wash/polish/wax. I've gone through the whole line of Chemical Guys exterior car care products, and I've got to say I'm impressed. I've worked with other systems before, as well as trying to piece together my own lineup of product to go from swirled, scuffed, hazy, oxidized paints to shiney and new again. CG's entire line takes top marks from me for three reasons: 1) Does it work? A: Absolutely! Following directions and using the correct pads and microfiber, I can confidently say that CG's lineup worked wonders for my 12-year-old Audi 2) Ease of use - The products are easy to use, with directions clearly spelled out on the labels, and most don't require too much elbow grease if you've got a good random orbital buffer 3) Hazmat - Some of the products I've tried over the years have had harsh residues, toxic fumes, or just downright made the car smell like skunk spray. All of CG's products have some kind of pleasant aroma, and while I wouldn't necessarily ingest them, I don't need heavy-duty gloves to apply them to the car, which makes a world of difference when you're trying to give a soft touch to feel for small scratches and grit resting on the surface of the paint. This spray, coupled with a nice microfiber cloth, keeps the investment of your hard work looking like you'd just finished cleaning out the wash bucket. A couple of sprays directly on the painted surface, wiped well like you would with Windex, and you've got that smooth glossy wet look back again. One word of warning: if your car is a dark color, don't spray _anything_, including this product, to any surface that's been sitting in direct sunlight - the surface temperature can be hot enough to instantly boil off that mist of liquid, leaving a hazy waterspot where you've sprayed it. Not a knock against this spray, just a general tip about keeping the ride looking fresh and clean.

Great product, OK value
I've used V07 on two cars now. The product works well, is easy to apply, and really made a difference on black paint! Chose 4 stars because: -Easy application: simply spray on after washing and wipe in with a microfiber cloth to achieve a suitable layer of protection. A few days after application, it rained and the water beading proved it worked quite well. I've used some crappy national-brand waxes that seem to bead water as well as this stuff, but were much more laborious to apply. - Great protection. After using on my black car, I could tell that the car was repelling dirt and dust because it visually stayed glossy for longer. My car is in need of waxing, but not badly. A layer of this certainly made a difference in dirt/dust sticking to the car. When used on a friends car that had visible medium/heavy clear coat oxidation and bad swirls, the paint no longer had the hazy clear-coat after applying V07. -Value: a slight bit expensive when you consider the number of uses you'll get out of the bottle this size. I think that the sprayer that comes with it is partly to blame, as it spreads a very very wide spray pattern that seems to miss the car and/or blow away. Great for people that need a protection after washing, but may not have the time or patience to wax and dry the entire car. I would imagine this stuff would make a fully waxed & polished car really have a ridiculous amount of gloss if used as the final step, but if you are going through a full paint-correction process, this isn't really NEEDED, but would certainly add that extra pop that you may be looking for. I think the gallon size has a FAR better value, all things considered!

I love this product!
I've been using this to wash my car for years and nothing does a better job at removing dirt and dust without the hassle of a hose. Gives a great shine and holds up pretty well--even after it rains. Would highly recommend.

works as advertised
all i can say is im glad i took a chance and bought the gallon size. my car is a black camry and after i washed it with ultimate waterless wash+, i sprayed this on and it really made the paint glossy. application was a breeze and alittle goes a long way. it is easy to over apply but if you do just keep wiping and it will "disappear" into the paint. im not really sure if you are supposed to buff it out but i did so just by flipping the mf towel over and lightly buffing. literally no elbow grease involved and it took me about 15-20mins to finish, and thats with me fumbling through and figuring out the best way to apply this product. it does not streak and has a pleasant orange sherbert ice cream scent. i did a second layer just to see if layering made it stand out more and it did help but slightly. one layer applied thinly is all you need and that makes this a cost effective purchase. i did one spray per panel except for the hood, roof, and front bumper which i used 2. to me v7 is best used on a recently waxed surface/new cars because it will enhance the existing layer of protection. i have barrier reef from surf city garage on it(applied 2wks ago) and it really enhanced the depth of the black paint. if your are unsure whether or not v7 is worth it, try the smaller size and i can almost guarantee youll be running back for more. also i wont update on durability because i rarely go more than a week without detailing my car. bottom line: try it. Update: the car had not been washed/detailed in over a week(8 days). there was a decent amount of dirt but no caked on dirt. i used a car duster and it came right off. i was actually suprised how well the car retained its shine before i went over it with a QD. this stuff seems to hold up well.

This works amazing on almost everything!!!
This is a ONE SIZE FITS ALL QUICK DETAILER!! I am one to experiment with products because once I find something I like I try to find other uses for it as I don't want to have a million seperate products laying around which don't get used enough and clutter the garage or storage areas. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. So, I had my car washed at a quick wash where they run your car through an automated wash, after that guys come out and dry your car and throw some tire shine on your car. It's not perfect because water drips out of the crevices and gets water spots all over your car driving home. Once home I took out the Chemical Guys Hybrid 07 that I just got and wiped down the entire car car with micro fiber towels. I got over-spray on the glass so i decided to wipe them down also and i was surprised how clean and streak free they were. I then cleaned the door jambs of the car. I decided to test this product with a clean microfiber towel on the interior plastic panels and they too looked awesome. (however, I'm not sure long term use will be appropriate and if this even has any UV protection) I took pics for you guys to see the mirror shine the car has after using this product. Since the car and car windows looked so nice I used this same product on the large streaked mirrored closet doors in my room. I used conventional glass cleaner on those previously with poor results always. After testing a small area to make sure it didn't leave any residue or streaks, I did the entire doors. (my wife was surprised to see me so excited to clean something. lol) They came out streak free!! I will be ordering a gallon container of this for the future as I used a fourth of the bottle cleaning my car and various other things.

Great product, you will use a lot so the jug is the way to go if you have a sprayer
I bought the black car kit which comes with a 16oz spray bottle of this. After detailing 2 vehicles, I was pretty low in the bottle so I looked into buying more. For the cost of buying 2 more bottles, I could get 8 bottles worth of quantity with this jug. No brainer and now I can be liberal with the spray. On the first black car, I washed, clay bar, black light, then waxed. The car looked brilliant! Later on, the car had a little dust on it so i used the V07 and a microfibre cloth and the car looked like it was just washed and waxed again; no scratches (although be careful using this without washing first). The second car was my dark grey Ridgeline. I washed, clayed, black light, then waxed it. It wasn’t as shiny and wet as the black car (which was amazing) but I then put a coat of the V07 on about an hour later. Didn’t affect the look at all. Later on I used the V07 to clean up a couple spots on the truck and it made it look freshly washed there again. Really nice spray to touch up and revive your car’s shine. Using it after a wax coat is great. If you haven’t properly waxed and protected your paint first, don’t think this will be a substitute. It will pull of dirt from above the wax layer beautifully.
