Will this charge the battery powering starter?

It has a charging coil in it to charge the battery.

Does engine turn clockwise looking at crankshaft?

Dear, the engine turns clockwise

Noted in answers that engine has 20mm shaft not 3/4, has anyone found pulleys or clutches to fit this engine?

I had to use sand paper ( 40 grit ) around the entire shaft for the 3/4'' pulley to fit. Doesn't effect the performance of engine at all.
