Scrape everything.
My go to for scraping barnacles from propeller shafts and props. Just rigid and sturdy. This thing will Absolutly gouge soft material. Perfect size for a tool belt. Well made.

Both flexible OR stiff blades with sharp edge were available. Get both types.
Nicely made and blades could be ordered flexible or stiff with stiff having a sharp blade. Both types worked well for certain jobs.

High quality, nice design
Nice flex blade. I have more than 20 years in painting, these are the type I like. They go in and out of your pocket easy because they don't have a giant or rubberized handle like so many made today. Also the metal cap on the end of the handle is nice, I have a habit of closing paint cans with the end of my putty knife, sometimes that will break the handle, not these ones though. You can find these if you have a True Value near you, they'll be marked Master Painter though.

A good choice!
- It's a little thinner than another brand that I have but it works in its favor. It doesn't sacrifice stiffness because its slightly thinner and this trait also helps it cut through the putty nicely.- It has a clear coating on it to protect the metal but I find this is a negative because as it starts to wear off, the putty tends to stick to it more easily. As another reviewer mentioned; better to remove this coating with some type of chemical like laquer thinnner, turpentine, or mineral spirits etc... so the knife continues to move cleanly through the putty. First time DIY'ers need all the advantage they can get!* A suggestion to Red Devil would be to make it out of a different metal to eliminate the need for a protective coating; however at this price I would just buy another if it wears out! Easy fix!

Helps expensive brushes get cleaner and last longer, and has stayed rust-free so far
This works great for my purposes. Primarily I use it for two jobs... Firstly, I use it to pry open paint cans using the tip on the hooked end (which works better than a screwdriver in my experience, because screwdrivers tend to bend the paint can lip). It's odd the manufacturer doesn't mention this function on the product's label.Second, I use the brush cleaner comb during brush washing, which makes the whole cleaning process go faster. It really helps you get into the nooks and crannies of the brush.I have also used the tool to help clean paint from a 9-inch roller -- which requires some vigorous scraping of the tool along the roller -- but honestly I was disappointed how much work it is to clean a roller. After 5 minutes of running water and scraping the roller, and rinsing and scraping some more, my roller still wasn't totally clean. So I went back to tossing my rollers in the trash when the painting job is done. That's not the tool's fault -- it's simply an unavoidable amount of hassle and huge amount of water to clean a roller. So far the tool hasn't rusted despite being used for perhaps a half dozen painting jobs and brush cleanups.I have never tried the nail-related feature, since I'm afraid I might break the tool, and I have a claw hammer for that anyway lol.My only (tiny) complaint is that this tool doesn't also clean smaller 4" or 6.5" rollers (wrong curvature), but this tool wasn't designed for that anyway, and you can find other roller cleaners that do that elsewhere on Amazon. Those little rollers are so cheap -- just a couple of dollars each in a multi-pack -- that it's not really worth the effort to clean them anyway, IMHO, so this isn't a big complaint.Overall this is a very useful tool to have around when you're painting, and it's not expensive, so 5 stars from me.

Just as billed: stiff, sturdy, reasonably priced
Just as advertised--a stiff putty knife. Has a sturdy handle and a thick, stiff blade. One side of the blade is ground down (sharpened) so it can act as a scraper, which is very helpful. Within the first day of having this on my pegboard, I have already used it for various tasks, including scraping off numerous labels from a cabinet I am restoring. The only complaint I have is that the sticker that comes on the knife leaves behind a sticky residue. I tried to burn it off and it didn't burn. So I will see if I can find a solvent that will clean it off. Otherwise, this is a great stiff putty knife, exactly what I was looking for, at a very reasonable price!

Good one
Seems well made

Finish not as good as expected
works quality and finish isn't as good as id expected but it works
User
Good size - using it mostly to pry things, rather than apply thigs.
Good rigid knife that is turning into a valuable utility knife for prying, separating, etc. Many more uses than just puttying. Going to have to buy a second once the edge on this one gets beaten up.
