Henkel Loctite 603 Retaining Compound - High Strength 50 ml Retaining Oil Tolerant

The Loctite 603 was purchased to bond a machined shaft into a closely fitted socket. I was making a replacement cross slide lead screw for my metal lathe. I roughened the machined mating surfaces for a little better grip and used nothing but the Loctite 603 to bond the portion of the lead screw that I made to a piece of commercially produced Acme thread rod. The stub on the Acme threaded rod extended about 1.25" into the socket. It sat for about 48 hours before I used it; only because I was busy with other things. It has been in service for 2-1/2 months and if it hasn't failed yet it probably never will. I've pushed it pretty hard with material removal and knurling operations.

Used to hold balancer shaft bushings in place on older tractor motor. Local John Deere dealer just borrowed my bottle to repair a customers engine after hearing of the success I had with mine. Great Product

I used this on an oil impregnated bronze bushing. It’s holding great thus far. Will update if it changes
