First time pool owner & we figure we'd try to prolong the pools life as much as we can, so we got this to put under the water where the pool ladder goes. It works, but still slides if you're not careful, and the ends will not flatten out no matter what we did because it came rolled up. It is a thick mat & seems like it'll do the job & the price point was great too

Works as it should with a cheap price point. Descent size and good quality. Would buy again if needed.

Quality is good, seems durable. Size is adequate for standard pool ladder. If heavy use or kids splashing around the mat doesn’t stay put very well and edges are prone to turning up. (See photo)

Pros: - Easy to submerge into the water, sinks quickly - Easy to slide once on the bottom of the pool - Stays in place - Worry free - I know it’s padded enough to prevent my ladder from damaging my pool liner Cons: - May need two people to secure it into place My suggestion: Get this mat, so you don’t have to worry about your pool liner.

The Swimming Pool Ladder Mat is a decent product that provides some extra protection between the ladder and the pool surface. The non-slip texture is a nice feature and helps add a little more stability when stepping in and out of the pool. The material feels reasonably durable and the size is convenient for most pool ladder steps. However, I was disappointed that the mat does not stay in place very well. It tends to roll up, shift around, and needs to be adjusted frequently, which can be annoying during regular pool use. I expected it to grip the surface better and remain positioned under the ladder. Overall, it does help protect the pool area, but the constant moving and rolling keeps it from being a perfect solution. It works, but it would be much better if it had a stronger non-slip backing or a way to secure it in place.

it has zero weight to it plus the back is smooth meaning it has no traction to the bottom of the pool at all! which means it's always moving from under the ladder at least on a vinyl pool liner. We are constantly having to put it back under the ladder.
