Absolute Game Changer! Premium build and total setup freedom
I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! The Elgato Wave Mic Arm High Rise is a massive upgrade over standard boom arms. The first thing you notice is the premium build quality—it feels incredibly sturdy and professional right out of the box.The installation was a breeze. The padded desk clamp is very secure and didn't leave a single mark on my desk. What really sets this apart is the extra height and reach; it easily clears my monitors, allowing for much more flexible positioning. I also love the integrated cable channels with rubber plugs—they keep my setup looking clean and organized by completely hiding the XLR cables. The movement is smooth and silent, and it holds my microphone exactly where I want it without any sagging. It even comes with a counterweight for lighter mics, which shows how much thought Elgato put into this. Highly recommended for any creator looking for a professional, clutter-free setup!

Stop looking, just get this
Okay I've gone through 2 different microphone arms this one being my third and let me tell you from experience. Just start with this one. I've used a $20 exposed spring arm and it was not only horrifyingly dangerous, but also just not particularly maneuverable. I spent $40 and got a much nicer one, but it didn't quite reach as far as I wanted and it barely supported my Shure MV7 and not to mention, I had to crank up the tension on each pivot point with the wrench. This one though.....it's just magic. First of all, the extended pole that comes with it, lets the arm sit at an angle where the mic can come down at a more comfortable angle and is out of the way. It's also spring powered, but it's so smooth. The arm is super easy to adjust, no bolts to tighten aside from the first mounting point. This is more than strong enough for my MV7 and it comes with a counterweight if you're using a super light microphone too. The build quality is great, The shell is plastic, but a matte thicker plastic, the arm itself is metal, but the best thing about this is that it's just easy to adjust, it actually holds it's position well, and I can move the microphone out of the way when not in use without worrying if the tension is messed up.

Don't Waste Your Money on RODE Boom ARMS! Get THESE!
Okay, so I went back and forth on getting the RODE PSA 1+ boom arm for so long for our podcast and am so glad I got this instead. I have two right now and will be buying a third for our guests. These are SO sturdy, can be moved without needing to tighten, really solid all around. Clamp is great and they hold my RODE PodMics perfectly. I didn't need the counter weight it came with even for those heavy mics. I will say, they don't sound dampen well because they are a hollow frame so just keep that in mind. Install them in a spot where you won't bump them during recording because they definitely produce a sound and prolonged frequency if that happens on sensitive mics. I can't believe these were under $100 because they feel so expensive and look amazing. LOVE!

Well designed, nice to use
It assembled easily, and holds my AKG microphone with shock mount very securely. It has a great and easy range of motion, and the extension piece allows it to reach over my monitor. It's a huge improvement over my desktop mic-stand with a weighted base. That thing wasn't nearly as stable and secure as this one is, though the extension and overall length does make it a bit more wobbly, though it will never tip over like the other, so that's fine. It's also much more compact and tucked out of the way when not in use. It was easy to route the cable internally and it looks really nice with it all tucked away now. One con is that it doesn't have a good place to clamp my pop filter to the arm. It works well enough without one, but i may need to get something to adapt it or maybe just get a foam cover. It's a good enough value normally, but an excellent value when on sale.

Good range of motion and sturdy build overall
I bought this to hold my mic that fits snugly on the arm. The range of motion is pretty good, it comes with additional weight add on to hold lighter microphones down. I trust elgato to make high quality durable products as I also have a streamdeck and the key light air. I also feel that they always seem to miss the mark at one point or the other an overall 90% quality provider. With the boom arm it’s the extension albeit is normal for tension to build up and cause a bend at the table extension, there could’ve been a more elegant solution.

Unmatched Quality!
I've tested numerous mic arms, but the Elgato Wave Mic Arm has truly set itself apart from the rest. It's unmatched in terms of quality and functionality. The premium build of this broadcasting boom arm speaks for itself. The cable management channels are a game-changer, keeping everything tidy and organized. Setting up the Elgato Wave Mic Arm was a breeze, and it provides the perfect balance between flexibility and stability. Whether you're a content creator or just want a reliable mic arm for any virtual meetings, this is the one to go for. The attention to detail in its design is impressive, and it adds a touch of professionalism to my setup. If you're in the market for a mic arm that not only looks sleek but also delivers exceptional performance, the Elgato Wave Mic Arm is the way to go. I can confidently say it's the best I've come across, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

A solid and well priced mic arm.
The only reference that I had before was a cheap boom arm that was able to manage my Rode Procaster. It was ok but not as solid and fluid as this Elgato mic arm. Just out of the box you feel it was made with quality materials, no loosen parts, well packaged, attencion on details... The cable management space is smart, put the cable on it is really easy. For reference, I use my Rode Procaster (around 745g) with the counterweight included but you can used without it, the arm stays in place. The ballhead is actually very useful for fine-tuning the mic position. With a little tightening the mic stays in position and the mechanism feels sturdy. I put it just behind of my 27 inch monitor and is not necessary to put the extension tube to rise the boom arm over the screen, it saves my space and keep my line of sight free and a little more clean, I can almost hide the mic and arm behind the monitor when I'm not using it. There is no noise of springs or metal parts when a move the arm, it is very quiet. I think you need to hit the arm with a reasonable force o move it quiet hard to listen some noise or vibration transmited through the arm. I don't know if you can obtain same quality for less money, or if paying more gives you a better boom arm, the only I can say is this mic arm offers great quality for what I consider a fair price.

Worth the investment!
It's just better is every way possible, ive used multiple cheap boom arms in the past, they all end up falling apart and wear down after a while and have trouble supporting mics at high levels of adjustment, but this one ticks all the boxes, smooth movement, handles the weight of the mic at any adjustment, hasn't shown any wear or tear and overall looks very nice in my office setup which leans more towards the minimalist theme, it is very expensive for what it is, but if its on sale or you got the money to spare, just buy it!

Works perfectly for Pre-Sonus PD-70
I've had other, cheaper mic stands and arms before, but decided to invest in an upgrade. All I can say is WOW. This is the best, sturdiest, most practical, and sleeves for cable management of all boom arms I've ever owned. It perfectly fits my Pre-Sonus PD70 (a much more affordable alternative to the Shure SM7B). It's strong enough to handle heavy mics and very easy to maneuver. It also keeps its position well. Honestly... look no further. It's even better than many more expensive "premium" mic arms. It's amazing and worth every dollar. Trust me... buy this beauty. You won't be disappointed.

Very Smooth
Moving from a cheap $15 spring driven arm to this is night and day. It's very smooth and the cable management is excellent. The extension bar to raise it suits my setup perfectly allowing it to raise over the tablet I have it mounted behind. Using it with my Shure MV7 I have no retention issues, it holds it in place exactly where I need it to be without the need to add the additional balance weight.

Awesome mic arm, worth the price
Stable with heavier mics as well as lightweight mics (a counter weight is included). Get this, the Elgato low-profile, or the Rode PSA1. I personally chose this since it's a bit cheaper. Great price for a silent mic arm, cheaper ones with springs tend to be very loud and squeaky with less stability.
