I will update this review periodically, so far setup was a little confusing but easy and quick, I use a USB cable so I can’t speak to the ease of operating via WiFi. One appealing aspect of this printer is just that, it’s a printer, it has no fax or scan capability, I need neither, so I felt maybe all my money was going in to the printer and not unused features. The fact that it’s single-function may explain Amazon’s cautionary statement about it being a frequently returned item. If that’s the case buyers aren’t paying attention. The screen takes a little getting used to but again, once it’s figured out it’s fine. Some may feel the printer is too big, but it prints tabloid/ledger size paper, it’s gotta be a certain size just because of that. It replaces a 14 year old Brother that took up more space than the Epson does. I will only be printing 11x17 monochromatic on this, so I like that I can load 11x17 paper in both trays, and I also like that In the print setup there’s a black and white selection, I hope this minimizes use of the colored ink cartridges. The auto duplex was an important feature, as everything I print is two sided and it works very well on this Epson, such a time saver. The print quality is good on the standard setting, certainly acceptable in most cases, the higher setting is very good. I like that the tray automatically extends to receive the printed pages. Stay tuned for updates… January 2025- So far I can safely say this is the best printer I've ever used, it's fast, consistent, the standard settings produce a very nice document, when you send it a job it starts right away, no waiting for it to get going, it truly is amazing for the price.

This is my first time getting an Epson printer. Reading the reviews I was a little worried but so far so good. This is the largest printer that I could find that can print 11x17s. And it works exactly the way I needed. Now it is just a printer it's not a scanner or anything like that. However it is very quick at printing, a lot faster than my HP printers. The quality of the prints are excellent. It was very easy to set up the printer, just had to install a few apps on my phone to get things working. I've had no issues with the wireless connection at all, it connects every time which is way better than a lot of the other printers I've dealt with. I got it on sale, I'm assuming there's probably way newer models but this one is excellent just the way it is for my needs. Was worth every penny!

Hi everyone This is by far the worst and most frustrating printer I’ve ever had to deal with. I am a full time artist and have made a ton of prints on this thing. I’ve used this printer for two years now and after using it… I from the bottom of my heart recommend that no one buy buy this printer or any epson printer product if any kind. This company is so money hungry and greedy I cannot even explain everything that they do to make this printer the most inconvenient, expensive, and most frustrating product it could possibly be. Long story short, this printer and epson in general, is entirely designed to milk as much money out of you buying ink, as possible. They constantly force you update the printers so that no third party printer cartridges work, while their epson cartridges are the most expensive with very little ink inside, with the printer routinely saying a cartridge is empty when half full. They make any other cartridges that fits in the printer unrecognizable and the chip reader system prevents you from being able to refill any cartridges. Along with that, updating the printer software, as you have to, makes the cartridges that are already in the printer no longer recognizable, as well as, cartridges from other packs you you have used before suddenly become unrecognizable. I just put an entire new of cartridges in the printer, was printing fine. Then had to update the printer, now none of them work and they are still full. This is just the tip of the iceberg in how inconvenient and money sucking this brand is. You also cannot print any documents whatsoever if any color runs out. Printer will keep you froze on replacement screen until you buy new epson cartridges. Meaning if you’re out of any color you can’t print in black and white. Can’t print black and red if you’re out of cyan. Even when I buy epson ink, priced two times higher than everything else, paired with the best paper I can find, printed on the slowest best setting for quality prints.. at this printers optimal settings and materials, the printer STILL leaves print lines on your prints making art prints unsellable. I will never support epson ever again after this printer. For the love of god, save yourself some time, money, and loads of frustration and do not buy this printer or any epson products.

A little irritating that if I put more than one sheet of paper in the rear tray it shows a paper jam. However the drawer one and two work great, love the large format and its a solid printer.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the printer given the price and would recommend this unit for anyone who needs wide format printing.

This is a beast of a printer! In a good way! Because it prints very large, which is great for my husband's business.

As a longtime user of Epson printers, I must say that I'm disappointed in this model. Purchased it to print on larger format media, but it does not accommodate all sizes described for this model. Largest is 11' x 17". It's very confusing to set, load, and print and new ink cartridges are producing lines and errors as well. Will keep working with it and hope to manage better with use.

This is a huge printer, significantly larger than any other I've owned. It's nicely made, can be wired into my network, prints 11x17 pages, has okay cartridges, and doesn't force you to install a ton of extra bloatware to get it going (some is required as usual, but nothing nearly as bad as with HP). It has well thought out features (has an auto-extending and retracting arm for supporting longer pages) and can be configured from within the printer settings (no need to connect externally for setup, only printing and updates). This is a good printer, and is a great deal when on sale.

Fast performance and good quality images. Even tiny print fonts are printed very clearly. The wi-fi works well, mine is down the hall in another room and it still connects without issue. Sending a print job results in fast performance, no long waits even if the printer has been sitting for a week. I don't turn it off, just allow it to stay in standby, because every time it is turned off and then on it goes through a cleaning cycle, using more ink. Even the largest 19" prints come out in just a few minutes, I'm pleased with it overall. Another plus is how the output tray automatically extends when a print job is called on. For only three ink colours plus black, the photograph outputs are quite realistic.
