The original 7 Wonders: Duel is a great game, among my favorite 2-player games. However, after a dozen or so playthroughs the original game becomes a bit repetitive and leaves an experienced player wanting a bit more. The Pantheon Expansion delivers. All of the new mechanics are well-designed and fun to play. The expansion gives the player several new options that add an entirely new dimension of strategy to the game. I've found the expanded game has considerably more staying power than the original, mostly because it's more dynamic and complex, giving an experienced player considerably more to think about. The expansion involves a lot of new rules and significant set-up time, which could be a bit of an obstacle for new players. Also, the addition of new options and powers tends to inure to the benefit of advanced players, causing margins of victory to be larger in the expansion than in the original. But that's also what I think makes the expansion more challenging, rewarding, and fun. I recommend getting acquainted with the original game first, but the expansion is a great improvement. This is one of my favorite games. Very highly recommended.

If you like 7 Wonders Duel, get this expansion immediately and never look back! Pantheon takes Duel from a really fun 2-player game to one of the all-time GREAT 2-player games. My wife and I love the base Duel game and still play it occasionally, but Pantheon is our go-to now.

My wife and I play Pantheon weekly. After extensive play of the base game we discovered the Pantheon expansion and are very much enjoying the added layers of god-play. This introduces a 3rd action that provides completely different strategies and pacing compared to the base game. Simply being able to "skip" a card-draw to play a god can have significant impact on your age-pathing (denying opponent card or ensuring you get a card). The wonder-god combos are super fun. I will say that ANUBIS+TEMPLE is seemingly OP but still super fun (2 turns + 24g is prettttyyy strong).

Very good expansion, worth it to make 7 Wonders Duel a lot more replayable and to improve the endgame so it does not feel so predetermined after the first few plays

So fun! My husband and I love 7 Wonders Duel and mythology, so this seemed like an obvious expansion that we needed to try. I really like the ways the gods switch up the rules for the base game. 7 Wonders Duel is an awesome 2 player game on its own. It’s easy to learn but still requires a fair amount of strategy, which I think is a great balance. All of the pieces and cards came in good condition and were ready to use.

The Pantheon expansion provides an excellent new dimension to 7 Wonders Duel, one that adds a rich layer of gameplay without greatly extending the length of play. The biggest addition consists of fifteen deity cards (three of five different types), with various powers (associated with components of the game such as the military track, the scientific tokens, or the wonders). Five deities get chosen during Era 1 and become available for purchase starting in Era 2. As long as a deity remains available, players may pay coins to purchase it instead of taking a card from the central board, discarding a card for coins, or building a wonder. Pantheon also adds a new type of purple card (which replaces those used in the base game) and two new wonders. The base 7 Wonders Duel game began to feel repetitive, but Pantheon injects a new blast of energy and strategy. My one critique is that some of the gods are much more powerful or desirable than others. Still, Pantheon is a must-have.

Good expansion. Love it. Shipment was fast but bad. My product was damaged. Inside the box, cards were fine.

The expansions for 7 Wonders Duel are practically essential for the serious gamers. I cant imagine playing without both expansions at the same time because they allow every game to be exciting and varied. The Pantheon expansion specifically makes it possible to actually win Science and Military victories more often. Must buy!
