Works Great on Windows, used to Work on Mac OS
This thing was a Godsend when I first bought it. I have some musical equipment across the room from my computer that is programmed via USB. I hated to have USB cables strung across the floor, and I found this unit that let me run the USB through my IP network. Don't confuse that with the cheaper units that allow you to use an ethernet cable directly. Through the IP network means that I can access any USB device plugged into this thing from any computer on my network....that is until Apple changed things. I'm not sure of the exact technical details, but Apple has made some major modifications to their underlying software for the OS that is preventing the OEM of this device to develop drivers that work with Mac OS Catalina. It worked great for me for the year that I've had it, but now that it no longer works with Mac computers, it might as well be a brick. I certainly don't blame the OEM, and they've clearly stated that if Apple ever makes it possible for them to fix the connection, they will. So credit goes to them for that. If you have only Windows computers, this thing is excellent!

May work but European IPs try to access it
For some reason our firewall is blocking incoming connections from Intenational countries like there is a virus in the machine

Works. Little clunky but it works.
I purchased this device to use a digital drawing tablet with my remotely HDlocated PC tower. They connected via wired ethernet and it works. My audio interface devices DO NOT work through this device and I was a bit disappointed when plugging a usb hub/splitter in that even though the devices all show up in the software, they can't be used.Overall it works for what I bought it for, but not everything I wanted it to do.

Crashes PC with ZWO cameras
Gave me the blue screen of death on Windows when I tried to use a ZWO USB3 camera. It saw the camera and windows installed the device driver from ZWO but when I tried to connect to the camera with my video capture software windows crashes. Did this on 2 different ZWO cameras and every time. Also the documentation that comes with the device only gives the web site to go to for the PC software.Had to figure out what to download and where it was.

Should give some time to tryouts, but eventually -it works!
Before owning this device, I had the simple/cheap rj45 to usb adapters. They worked, but constantly kept disconnecting (various voltage changes in my home networks caused connection to drop). Additionally, they require a dedicated cat5/6 cable, and this might be a luxury for some. This device solved both these problems I had!Driver installation & configuration worked like a charm, the only thing that requires patience is experimentation with USB ports (there are two) - in my case, connecting an external USB hub (actively powered as well) didn't work for USB 3.0 port, but worked fine with USB 2.0 port, so I eventually connected the hub to sub 2.0 port and gaming mouse dongle to usb 3.0 port.
