Received item box beat up and missing cables and power supply was used not NEW the steering wheel has broken plastic inside of rattling around when ya inspected it . Getting a replacement lets see how this goes! Hopefully the other 2 items i ordered dont come in beat up and broken! UPDATE replacement order came in faster than the 1st order and showed up in perfect condtion and the other half of the order had no issues at all everything works great but if you have a thick table top on your desk you will have to mount it differently if using the simtask steering kit doesnt like thick tops.

Exceptional Racing Experience - Thrustmaster T248P Delivers!
I've been using the Thrustmaster T248P Racing Wheel and Magnetic Pedals since January 3, 2022, and it's been an absolute thrill ride! This setup has significantly enhanced my racing game experience, offering realism and precision that I hadn't encountered with other wheels. The HYBRID DRIVE system is a standout feature. It provides dynamic force feedback that realistically simulates the resistance and sensations of driving a real car. Whether I'm skidding around a tight corner or feeling the impact of uneven terrain, the feedback is incredibly immersive, adding depth to my gaming sessions. The build quality of both the wheel and pedals is top-notch. They feel sturdy and durable, capable of withstanding intense gaming sessions without showing any signs of wear. The wheel's grip is comfortable for long periods, which is crucial for endurance races.Magnetic paddle shifters are a game-changer. They provide that satisfying click with each shift, and their responsiveness is spot-on, allowing for quick and accurate gear changes. The difference in performance compared to standard shifters is night and day.The pedals are equally impressive. The magnetic mechanism gives them a realistic feel, especially when it comes to progressive resistance on the brake pedal. This feature allows for more precise speed control, crucial in racing games where every millisecond counts.Another aspect I love is the screen with racing information. It's a convenient way to keep track of important stats without having to look away from the action. The ability to customize what information is displayed is a thoughtful touch, allowing me to tailor it to my preferences. The wheel's compatibility with different racing games and platforms has also been a huge plus. It seamlessly integrates with my gaming setup, and the process of setting it up and calibrating it was straightforward. In conclusion, the Thrustmaster T248P Racing Wheel and Magnetic Pedals have been a fantastic addition to my gaming rig. After nearly a year of constant use, it continues to perform excellently, consistently adding realism and excitement to my racing game experiences. I highly recommend it to any enthusiast looking for a high-quality, immersive racing wheel and pedal setup.

Calibration Chaos
The media could not be loaded. After fewer than 30 hours of play, my T248 exhibited the random twitching behavior at startup depicted in the video posted with this review. This behavior indicates that the unit cannot not auto-calibrate as it should do every time the unit is powered on. If the unit cannot auto-calibrate, then it will not be recognized by the console or PC. The reason it cannot auto-calibrate is due to motor failure. This is problem is actually quite common with Thrustmaster wheels across all of their models, not just the T248. If you simply Google “thrustmaster calibration problem,” you will find many other complaints in forums and among consumer reviews describing a variation of the same auto-calibration failure behavior, some with short video clips just like mine. A disproportionate number of those complaints seem to regard the T300RS/GT. But many complaints regard other models from the bottom to the top of the TM product line, including the high-end T-GT II.If this, or any problem, occurs within the warranty period of 1-yr (US), Thrustmaster will duly replace/repair the unit. Outside the warranty period, they will offer to have it repaired by their authorized servicer for a flat rate of $70 plus a return shipping fee of $30, not to mention the cost of sending it to their repair center. I will also note that the only way to contact Thrustmaster to handle such cases is through the technical support page on their website. Their phone line is impossible to reach -- open only two hours per day, just four days per week.I did discover a way to calibrate my wheel by hand so that it would be recognized by my console and PC, but since the motor is dead, the wheel only functions as a steering device with no force-feedback (FFB) effects whatsoever other than random weak attempts of the motor to engage the drive system.Bottom line: Thrustmaster’s flawed belt or hybrid drive design will eventually suffer a motor failure, the only question is whether it will happen before or after the warranty expires. As a footnote, although I only used this T248 fewer than 30 hours, it was out of warranty. It was a wheel I had set up on a secondary rig and used infrequently. The wheel on my primary rig is a Fanatec ClubSport DD. Thrustmaster doesn’t even begin to compare to the superior direct-drive design of Fanatac in terms of performance and reliability.
