My hair is short so I followed a video on website for short hair. You want to use a small angled brush and a bowl to mix it. Product was excellent. I left on for the full 40 minutes. I have pretty blonde highlights throughout my hair. I also used my gloved hands in spots. My highlights look completely natural.

The color is beautiful. I did not like the highlight tool. It was really hard to get the product even.

Had problems with this product, the content rised and spilled out of the bottle and wasted when mixed, I didn't have time to apply the highlights as it kept spilling out of the bottle, something must of been wrong with it, I've been doing my own hair for over 25 years and I never had an issue, this was very messy and didn't work on my hair left me very unsatisfied.

I have blondish/light brown hair with some visible gray at the crown. I wanted to have the hair I had before the grays; without the two step process. I was a little concerned about blotches because I don't have long wavy hair. My granddaughter applied it for me and was able to do a wonderful job blending my natural hair color/the grays and the balayage. And no splotches. She did use foils and a regular hair color applicator brush. Quite a savings from the salon! and my hair feels soft and healthy.

Let me start off by saying it works, but not with the best execution. The tool is very hard to use which in turn let to splotchy bleach spots. The back of your head is nearly impossible to do alone. I can’t bring myself to look at the back yet. I watched the video tutorial posted online and they made it look so easy and simple but realistically that’s their job and they had a lot of practice. If you have assistance it may work better for you but I don’t recommend doing this alone! It works but not as smoothly as they make it seem.

Just buy it! I know it’s more expensive than other highlight kits, but it’s worth it! You can do this yourself and save hundreds of $$ in the salon. The applicator is a little awkward, just watch the video tutorial.

I have medium blonde hair and bought this hoping for some subtle highlights. First thing I did was throw away the applicator and instead I used my gloved fingers to apply the product to very small sections of hair. This gave me a lot more control over where the highlights would be. I also applied it pretty close to my scalp, since my hair is already blonde. With these modifications, I liked the result. It gave me nice highlights, and the toner/gloss left my hair soft and shiny. Very good for a home kit and a lot less than going to a salon. I would use this again.
