It does not have an option to close when full of water. When filled, you need to leave it upright until ready to use.

Can it be adjusted for the spray ?

The strength of the spray is adjusted merely by how hard you squeeze the bottle. With a little practice you can control the “shape” of the spray as well. But, no, the nozzle itself has no built in adjustable parts. Then again, this keeps things simple and avoids breakage.
