SmartyKat Scratch Not Scratch Deterrent Tape for Cats, Easy to Apply & Remove - White

This will clear the room of cats! I spray it on my new sofa, and cats make a beeline for another room.When I sprayed it, it seemed fine to me, but I did get a string taste in my mouth. I see why the cats left the room, (I liked the smell!) it tastes bitter, and I believe it works, which is what I wanted. I just want to protect our new sofa, and I believe this is working.

It does not work. I bought this spray to keep my cats away and from off my couch. However, my cat is sitting next to me on the couch as I type this.

This worked well. It helped deter our kitten from scratching on the furniture.However, make sure you remove and replace with new tape frequently. We put it on and left it for over 1 year. Our mistake.For our loveseat, the tape that has been present for 1 year, is coming off. It comes off in multiple pieces instead of a whole piece at time. The loveseat's fabric is just a typical furniture fabric, it's not suede/microfiber/leather. It's a little tedious to get it off, but at least it is coming off.On the other hand, the tape on our microfiber couch is not coming off. It's like it has fully bonded with the fabric and will not budge whatsoever. I've been meaning to research and see if there are any suggestions about how to get it off, but I've not done so yet.I feel like this tape would have been easy to remove and might not have fully adhered to our couch if I had of removed it and replaced it every month. Keep that in mind if you plan on buying it.

I’ve been using this tape for years now. I have 4 cats and anytime new furniture comes into my house, I make sure to add some of this tape on it. I’ve found it blends in and it’s barely noticeable on most things. The tape lasts a long time without needing to be replaced, and is very easy to use.

Not sure I'm sold on this. There is a product warning about placement, bear this warning in mind from the sellers description "CAUTION: Scratch Not Tape may damage certain surfaces, including wood finishes, painted surfaces, leather, vinyl, and wallpaper; always test a small piece on an inconspicuous area of the subjected surface"We applied a small piece to a countertop, trying to get our cats to stop jumping up there... and now, we're finding that small piece is VERY difficult to get off. I was able to get it off, the residue it left I'm still working to clean off as regular soap and warm water did not do the trick. So just be cautious where you apply this tape.

I've sprayed this so many times on one area where my cat likes to scratch and he just ignored it.A squirt bottle works much better lol

I was so afraid my kitties would ruin my new dining room set with upholstered chairs. I brought one chair out at a time and sprayed the edges with the SmartyKat Scratch Not Scratch Deterrent Spray. My kitties sniffed around but did not scratch but once. I told them "no" and sprayed again - they have not tried to scratch again (at least not when I am looking!) Now we have 6 of the chairs out and they love to sleep on them - but not scratch them. Thank you !!!!!

Does exactly what it claims. Easily attaches to area of furniture you want protected. Kittens did not like the feel and went to their scratching posts.

my cats ripped the underside of my boxspring under my mattress and would go under there ripping up the foam. i bought a full matress cover and this spray and ever since i put them on the boxspring, my cats havent even gone under my bed and its been a week since i sprayed the area. they still like to cuddle in my room tho so its not insanely strong where they avoid the entire room. gets the job done 10/10
