Excellent water wand for garden or greenhouse
Was a lifelong Dramm user, but after a few items that didn't last as long as I expected, I gave this Orbit water wand a try. I'm pleased to say that it met or exceeded all of my expectations. Although not commercial grade, it's built substantially enough that it should last for years with proper care. Both the trigger valve and the water flow valve appear to be of good quality brass and function smoothly. The wand tube is a medium gauge aluminum - certainly a good deal stronger than the house brand big box types - and has a standard male fitting on the end to allow for maintenance or replacement of the metal rosette. The trigger is also a stamped metal part of decent thickness - it doesn't feel flimsy at all when in use and the valve action is quick and leak free. In fact, I've had no leaks at all in the several months I've used it in two hobby greenhouses and a backyard garden - almost a notable feat compared to budget wands. The plastic overmolding on the grip has a firm feel and nice texture - it's easy to hold for extended periods of watering. There is a soft neoprene sleeve with finger grip molding on the lower end of the tube to aid in balancing the wand if this is an issue - I don't find it necessary but it may be helpful for folks with limited grip strength - the trigger can be locked in the on position and the water flow adjusted to your liking first and then you can hold the wand by the soft grip instead. This could be especially useful for watering overhead baskets as well if connected to a lightweight hose. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and function and have found very little to quibble about. I consider it a great value for the cost and expect that with moderate care, it can see many years of good service. I haven't checked the manufacturers website if replacement parts are available, but it does appear to be reasonably repairable (gaskets, seals, rosette) and the wand is threaded onto the trigger body, not swaged like budget types. In any case, Orbit does back it with a 1 Year warranty per the packaging. Solid buy.

Sturdy; capable design and functionality
I'm very pleased with this watering wand. The build quality is better than I expected given the price point. It is light and easy to handle, but still has a nice, solid feel to it. The trigger works well, and I really like having a separate flow regulator. I can dial it down to give seedlings a light watering, then dial it back up for established plant watering. Zero leaking on the connection or the trigger. It replaces a wand I paid a lot more for years ago, and out performs it. Five stars.

Last 3yrs now has a pinhole leak in pole
Last 3yrs, pretty good for the price. It has spring a pinhole leak on the aluminum pole that puts out a surprising amount of water.

Finally, the water wand I needed
To truly appreciate a water wand with this many features, perhaps you need to first deal with the water wand from hell. That's the one I just had that finally blessed me with breaking. It leaked, had poor design and cheap plastic parts that finally just busted. I needed a replacement fast since I grow produce in my greenhouse all winter long. I needed my Amazon Prime to get it here fast, too, so didn't want to go through my usual greenhouse supply company. How nice to see that yet again Amazon has what I need. See that handle thingie on end? It offers three levels of water pressure. The head has a wide range of spray options and I love that the "shower" option provides a fine enough spray to not damage young plants. One of the things I love best is that the head can be moved to whatever angle works best and that helps me get water to the places I want it to go. It's a well-built piece of equipment and it was in my hands less that two days after the crappy one crapped out. Thanks again, Amazon!

Great hose wand for washing the underbody of a car and for watering the garden
We were looking for a good hose wand to help with watering the garden and for washing the underside/underbody of our cars to remove harsh road salts during winter and this Orbit hose wand does a very good job at both those tasks. The long handle makes watering our garden much less strenuous on my back, as I can water the whole garden without constantly bending down and the compact head of the wand fits easily beneath the car when we want to wash the underbody. The 9 spray patterns are nice and include all of the common ones like shower, jet, mist, flood, etc. The ratcheting head is wide and has a decent amount of pressure and most importantly the head stays in the position you put it in! The wand is well made with a solid metal pole and the plastic parts (e.g., the head) are made from good quality plastic. The only negative of the wand is that it can leak from the bottom, where it connects to the hose, if it gets turned in any way. The wand tends to get turned easily and it's annoying to get wet every time the wand is bumped. We use the insertable hose attachment connectors you find at home improvement stores to fix the problem. While no hose wand on the market is perfect or leak-proof, the orbit wand has been the best we have used so far. We purchased the Orbit wand in January 2016.

Fits the bill... pretty versatile, too!
This is a really useful for watering hanging plants and washing my pickup-- under the wheel wells and especially the roof. Tilting head and choice of spray patterns makes this quite useful. The shutoff valve is easy to use, but has three 'levels'; it is not fully adjustable and might be a bit hard on delicate plants. I added a little $2.00 brass shut-off valve between the hose and the sprayer. Better control and probably easier on the plastic valve in the sprayer. We leave the hose on all the time on a moderately low pressure-- saves the tedious effort of walking around the side of the house. Seems durable, but there is a lot of plastic. I'll thinking I'll rinse it out with vinegar once in a while to keep down water scale.

Great Wands
I should start off by saying my garden watering wands get a LOT of use from April-October! I usually plan on getting two years of use per wand with proper maintenance. 90% of the time i use the "shower" or "center" settings, as they are the most appropriate for my watering. I've bought several of the Orbit brand lever actuated wands through the years and i like the squeeze lever above all other options. Once or twice a summer i remove the head to clean it with compressed air and a sewing needle, as stuff is bound to get lodged in the small shower holes no matter how hard i try to prevent it. A rogue stream drives me nuts.... If cleaning the head just make sure to line everything back up when reinstalling, and don't overtighten the screw on the end!

Absolute garbage and a waste of money
Absolute garbage and a waste of money. I got about 4 waterings out of it before the leaver valve started malfunctioning. It never fully shut off or adjusted the spray as intended. Because of this, it was always on when there was water pressure. I took it apart to see what the malfunction was, and it appears to be a design flaw with the lever spring seating properly inside the valve mechanism. Then the wand extension blew off of its screw connection to the valve assembly tearing the gromet with it. It is a press fit so no hope of repair, basically everything went into the trash after that.

Very helpful hose attachment
This is an asset to older people with hanging baskets. I bought as a gift and it was received with thanks!

Light and versatile
Good bit of kit, fairly light and a good range of sprays. Mine arrived with a torn handle and the wand was bent. It works though

Decepcionado
La configuración de niebla no es buena Pulveriza con demasiada fuerza en comparación con otras marcas. Incluso si se baja, es demasiado fuerte para las plántulas.

decent garden tool
lots of choices for spray patterns - long enough to reach up to higher hanging baskets . So far ( 1 month) the quality is great!
