He had learning disability as a result of his cancer treatment. Nevertheless this book is a great source for kids learning to read and improve on vocabulary. Great book to have Review: Very good supplement to reading practice - I bought this for my 6th grade grandson. He struggles a little bit with reading and comprehension. This has been a great supplement to his school studies and he enjoys it. I have him complete just one page each evening and that keeps it simple enough for him so he doesn't get frustrated and not want to do it. Each page has 2 separate very short articles and then about 3 multiple choice questions each for what they read. He reads the articles out loud and then reads out each question. The articles are maybe only a paragraph or two long but they are interesting topics and he's doing it willingly so that's a good sign. Every few pages there is a vocabulary page to check on their comprehension. The book is a great price, it's being used, and isn't too involved. Great!
