Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz

USED IN MY HYUNDAI WITH 112K MILES. DID A DUMP AND FILL WITH NEW VALVOLINE SYNTHETIC FLUID... ADDED THIS STUFF AT THE SAME TIME... WAS HONESTLY SUPRISED THAT THE TRANSMISSION IMMEDIATLY STARTED SHIFTING LIKE NEW. WAS IT THIS STUFF OR THE NEW FLUID? EITHER WAY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

MADE SO MUCH DIFFERENCE. Ok — so I got my original transmission on my 2010 Honda Odyssey at 293,000 miles, and the gears were getting a little rough as it neared being due for a change. I changed the transmission fluid with Valvoline Max Life and it did a lot of wonders, but it wasn’t perfect. Which is fine, 293k miles, what do you expect? That last gear shift down was still rough but everything else was buttery smooth. Last drain and fill, I added this to it. I was careful of the 1oz per quart .. and at first, there was no difference. About 100 miles in, the hard shift was gone. I cannot tell you how amazing it is to drive. The transmission is smooth that you can only hear it shift versus feeling it. With now over a thousand miles more on the 3 drain and fills with Lubegard as the last top up, it’s as good as ever. Old girl is ready for more long road trips! I know the recommendation is to not mix lubegard and valvoline max life but again, my van is close to 300k on original transmission and it was starting to shift hard anyway. I was taking a gamble either way, and it paid off. But I would only do this on a transmission so old you’re like “well, if it fails, it fails.”

ASE Master Certified +L1 and Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician. I am very against aftermarket additives and only use OE spec fluids, However this product saved me a good amount of headache. My personal 2001 corolla had DTC P0770 (SL solenoid malfunction). Car had 200k so I knew that the transmission might have built on varnish/debris within the transmission. Most likely TTC Solenoid had debris stuck. DTC would appear every 2-5 miles at above 50mph. After adding this additive, Vehicle no longer throws the DTC after 200 miles. Looks like it cleared the debris/varnish from the solenoid and or freed it up. Though this product saved me alot of headache from taking apart the transmission, these ATF additives may cause issues on higher mileage transmission as the worn seals may be still sealing due to the varnishing/debris masking leaks. When knocking/freeing that varnishing up, the transmission may suffer from internal and or external leaks from seals/gaskets afterwards. With that being said, I was lucky that no further damages appeared after using this product. Happy with the result as of right now.

This stuff stopped a hard shift into reverse instantly! I added this product to my Acura RDX transmission after draining the proper amount of ATF first. Once I added the bottle I was back to the correct level of fluid in the transmission, and the hard shift into reverse has gone away and not come back. It has been about a month and over 1000 miles with no issues. Great stuff!

This product works very well

My 2012 BMW X3 with 225k miles was having some slippage/odd shift behavior at light load after a cold start. After a drain and fill failed to improve the issue, I drained off a bit and pumped in the whole bottle of Lubegard, once again following the level check procedure. Transmission behaves noticeably better now, I imagine it helped with hardened internal seals that leaked when cold. Great product!

I read about sperms whale oil used to be used in automatic transmissions and that was the gold standard for transmissions the hunting of whales was banned. Lubegard came up with a patented synthetic replacement the call LXE technology. I read good stuff so put it in my 2004 Honda With 92k miles and 1 transmission oil change. This improved everything about my granny. Smoooth shifts car seems to have more power (less friction?) I had zero problems with it before lubegard but it's just silky smooth now. It doesn't take much 1oz per total fill of transmission fluid. I will reapply it next tyranny fluid change

This product stopped converter chatter in my 2001 F150 immediately.

this along with the "Lubeguards Dr Tranny Automatic Transmission Instant Shudder Fixx" sorted out the torque shudder my car has been suffering from over the past 2 years. superb product cannot recommend it highly enough.

Our 2nd family vehicle is a 2015 Nissan Micra ... I know, a Micra 😮 Anyway, since we only use it a few times a week when one of us has our main vehicle (pickup truck) out, the Micra is the go getter for groceries, pharmacy & general running around and only has 95,000 km on it. I am a retired mechanic and have looked after the Micra with excellent maintenance (except the transmission, which I should have done @ 60-70,000km's Ok I was late) and to date this little vehicle has served us well with no major problems & still gets 34-44mpg. But as luck would have it the 4 speed auto transmission recently started shifting very slow into 4th gear (delayed shift) Only on start up when it is cold, once the transmission reaches normal operating temp it shifts fine. I have come across this in the past, when the fluid gets older it thickens and can cause shuddering or shifting problems. So, since the vehicle is approaching a 100k km's I replaced the auto trans fluid with Nissan 'Type S' as called for but it made little difference after several hundred km's (I am sorry to say I should have done this at 60-70,000km). When doing a basic drain & refill on a Micra approx 3L is drained, the rest stays in the torque converter and valve body. It's total capacity is approx 6.5-7L, drain & refill is a basic method for DIY'ers that do not have a specialized electric trans. pump. When doing it this way I recommend doing it 2-3 times over 90 days depending on how dirty the fluid is. I then drained out exactly 3 liters of trans. fluid again (measured output), then, poured in the Lubegard 60902 Protectant [150ml - 1/2 bottle] then topped up the Auto Trans fluid with Nissan 'Type S' [2.85 liters]. Drove the car around on errands during a hot day so there was no delayed shift, BUT then the next morning when the car was cool at around 6am I started up and after warming up for approx 1 min I drove off to a main road where the transmission could shift from 1st at a traffic light and it worked perfectly shifting very smoothly from 1 thru 4th gear with no delay. If you have a normal 4+ speed auto transmission that has internal damage I don't think this product would help, But ... if your auto trans has been slightly neglected (like mine 😖) and you have not changed the fluid as recommended and are experiencing weird shifting, shudders or delays I think there is a high probability this product will solve your issue. This product WORKS, not only did it eliminate the delayed shifting to 4th gear but the transmission now shifts VERY smoothly as it did when the car was new. From a cold start up everyday the transmission works 100%! The product is priced fairly so I took a chance, glad I did ... excellent product that works!
