you can set very accurate grade using the level meter and a grade stick

Can this be used on any tri pod? Like a camera tri pod?

No. Not very easily. It has a threaded receiver on the bottom of it to accept the type of suspended hand bolt typically used on an engineers tripod ( I can't remember for sure, but I think it is 1/2 inch thread.) Anycamera tripod I ha e used has a totally different type of attachment.

Focusing Handwheel is labeled in the pics but not in the owner’s manual-what’s its’ purpose?
