WORKSHOP Wet/Dry Vacs WS25009A 2-1/2-in. Utility Nozzle Vacuum Attachment

I bought this WORKSHOP Wet/Dry Vacs WS25009A Utility Nozzle Attachment (2‑1/2 inch) for my Ridgid shop vac after I lost my original attachments during a move. My shop vac is close to 20 years old, and it still works fantastic. I bought it sometime around 2006–2008 when I remodeled a bedroom, and it has been a great machine ever since. When I brought it to my new house and started cleaning the basement and garage, I needed a replacement utility nozzle and decided to try this one. The fit is perfect. It slides right onto my 2-1/2 inch Ridgid hose and stays snug while I’m vacuuming. It also fits right in the storage tray on the vacuum, just like the original attachment did. Honestly it feels like the same part that came with the vacuum originally. Suction performance is excellent. In fact, it actually wants to stick to the floor when I’m using it. On things like workout mats or small carpets it will try to lift them up, so I sometimes hold them down with my foot. That tells me the suction is doing exactly what it should. On concrete floors in my basement, garage, and workshop, it works great and picks everything up easily. The build quality feels solid, not flimsy plastic. It honestly feels like an OEM replacement for the original Ridgid attachment. One thing I noticed reading other reviews is people mentioning the small gap at the front of the nozzle. My original Ridgid attachment had the exact same gap. It’s actually there on purpose so the nozzle doesn’t completely seal to the floor, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to move it because the suction would lock it down. Also make sure you double-check your hose size before ordering. This one is specifically for 2-1/2 inch hoses. Some people complaining about size probably bought the wrong version. Mine fits perfectly. For price reference, I paid $14.65 when I bought it, and for that price it was a great value. I’ve been using it for about a year now cleaning my basement, garage, and workshop and it’s holding up perfectly. If you have a Ridgid or other shop vac with a 2-1/2 inch hose, this is a great replacement utility nozzle.

This is a very useful compact size offering reach on surfaces and corners where larger variants that are often included with vacuums are simply too big and difficult to maneuver. The design allow for great suction but it may stick to surfaces if the vacuum you are using this with is too powerful. I am using this for another brand's 1-1/4" attachment and the suction is a bit too powerful for it but still with a little help, it does what I need very well. If you have a 1-1/4" set up, this is highly recommended, although it does come in larger attachment sizes.

I like these narrower attachments for cleaning up construction debris. The one that came with my shop vac got stepped on and broke in half so I ordered this one as a replacement. What I especially like about it is the slightly raised edges which prevent it from getting sucked to the floor. Others have said that this prevents it from being able to work right, but that are wrong. Why on earth would you want the vac attachment to stick to the floor? I want it to be able to slide on the floor, while still having a small gap in the front or back - depending on how you tilt it - so that it can stick up the debris. My old one was flat on the bottom, would get vacuumed to the floor and SKREEEEK along the floor as you tried to slide it. This is a much better solution. People who think this is a defect in design are crazy. If that's you, and you like your vacuum attachments to stick to the floor, making your job harder, take a file and file the sides straight and you're in business. It's plastic after all! Also, this isn't thin, cheap plastic. It's just as thick as the more expensive attachments I saw at home depot.

It works well for awkward places. Could be more convenient, however recommended.

Was worried it wouldn't fit for some reason. Worked perfect om shop vac brand shop vac. Cant speak on its robustness as haven't used too much yet

I was missing this attachment from my Dewalt vac. After searching on Amazon I came across this one it fits and works perfectly, one drawback is it's not as robust as the original, this one is lighter and feels more flimsy. I guess it will have to do..
