Max ATF - Automatic Transmission Fluid Max ATF is a synthetic, high-performance, automatic transmission fluid. Its low co-efficient of friction and high film strength help to dramatically reduce heat and wear. Additionally, Max ATF is more oxidation stable than other transmission fluids for longer fluid life. Max ATF significantly reduces heat to extend the life of your transmission. Automatic transmissions generate a great deal of heat and depend upon the transmission fluid for cooling and protection. More than 90 percent of all automatic transmission failures are caused by overheating; a 20�F reduction in fluid temperature can double the life of the transmission (Source: Perma Industries, Inc.). Max ATF is fully compatible and can be mixed with other automatic transmission fluids; however, for the best results drain or flush the current oil and then fill with Max ATF.

Review: The best tranny fluid. - I was constantly having poor shifting and miss shifts with 09 4x4 GMC Sierra. Replaced the Dexi with this fluid and was amazed within two weeks it removed a thunk I had on second to third gear shift since new. No more missed or late shifts. I highly recommend this fluid and all Royal Purple lubricants which I use in the entire truck.
Review: Highly Recommended - I did a partial transmission fluid change using Royal Purple Max ATF on my 2011 WK2 with a 3.6 liter Pentastar engine and the 5-speed transmission. My Jeep has well over 230,000 miles. Since it's cold in Michigan and I wasn't interested in staying outside too long, I used a suction tool to remove the fluid in the transmission pan, which was equal to around 3.75 quarts of fluid. I then replaced that with 3 quarts of Royal Purple Max ATF, 1 bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix, and 1 shot of Tribotex Transmission treatment. I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only has the slip been eliminated, but the vibrations that used to be part of every acceleration were dampened down to almost nothing. (The old 5 speeds that were in Grand Cherokees of the WK2 series had a tendency to vibrate under light acceleration.) I find that the potholes create more noise the transmission does. I also noted that the transmission temperatures are consistently lower than before - they rarely exceed 170 degrees Fahrenheit. It's been around 2 weeks since the fluid change, and there were plenty of spirited test-drives. I say this was a successful partial-fluid change. I'd certainly know if it weren't. I attribute these results to Royal Purple's Max ATF. But I also credit TriboTex for its restorative properties, and Lucas Transmission Fix for just being another fine Lucas product. All in all, I highly recommend Royal Purple Max ATF. I also recommend the other products mentioned in this review.

I was constantly having poor shifting and miss shifts with 09 4x4 GMC Sierra.
