At $17.99, 6" Dr. Alan Grant figure is fair--but, certainly not for more money.
Unfortunately, a 6" figure is too large in scale to display with my other Jurassic Park figures. Can't use and can't return because I opened VERY secure packaging before realizing.

Amber Collection is Quite Good
I received my Dr. Alan Grant figure from the Amber Collection. The figure looks great and Dr. Grant is my favorite non-dinosaur character from Jurassic Park. He looks great with my growing collection.

Face has a poor likeness, but I still like it.
Everything is good, but his face. It doesn't really look like Sam Neill who played Dr. Alan Grant.

2021 Mattel Jurassic World Amber Collection Dr. Alan Grant The lead protagonist of Jurassic Park, Dr. Alan Grant had finally made his debut in the Amber Collection line. Unfortunately, this figure does not do the character justice. While this figure features all of the great articulations, and accessories, the likeness is just not there. While the head sculpt with the hat looks okay (a little bit better than the Legacy Collection version, in my opinion), the second head looks atrocious. I do like that the pilot shades are transparent. That’s a great touch. I would have loved for the hat to be removable, as Muldoon’s hat is. The wardrobe is easily the best part of the figure. It is fairly screen accurate, and the paint applications are well done. The included flare accessory is nice, but it’s one we had already seen with Malcolm. There is an alternate hand which is gripping Grant’s iconic raptor claw, but I wold have loved to have had the claw as a stand alone accessory instead. While I’m certainly happy to finally have Dr. Grant, I cannot help but feel disappointed. I still feel that Ian Malcolm is the worst likeness in the toy line, but Dr. Grant is a close second.
