The Treedix board is tiny and with soldered-on leads it is small enough to easily tuck inside a regular RPi case, just add a tiny strip of electrical tape to cover the back-end of the leads. I added a 3 pin terminal block to the case for the external plug and ran the RS232 leads to that and mapped the Logic leads to GPIO. Much better than the giant DB9 interface most adapter boards come with.
