Great choice!
This is a great Bible for a young child who is ready for a "real" Bible. The illustrations and extra explanatory blurbs are great for making the text understandable for a beginner. We purchased this as a gift for a friend of my son's who wanted his own Bible and it was a great choice.

Biblically Sound
There are a lot of reviews on here written as if the Bible were a children's story, and as Christians we know it is not. For those of you looking to truly enhance your child's understanding of the Bible as written, this is a great book to start with. It is a perfect next step, whether they are reading on their own, or with you (we read it with our 6 yo). It is paired down for clarity and understanding, but the content is not watered down, and it's a great transition, and study tool to help young believers dive into the word of God.

Great bibles for kids
I got these to give out to our sunday school students who graduated this year. I meant to order the hardcover version but ended up with these by mistake. Turns out, the parents actually preferred the lighter ones for their kids so we decided to keep them. Our students were excited to get their own new bibles, and it all worked out perfectly! :)

Clear and understandable

Purchase as a Gift. This Bible is the best beginners bible. I have one for my Daughter and she loves it. It provides so much information that keeps your child interested in learning more. Lots of visuals and amazing explanation of scriptures and learning materials. This Bible come highly Recommended. Once your child opens this bible, I guarantee they will spend up to one hour or more in the bible pages.
