Sony TV Remote Control RMT-TX300E for Sony Bravia TV - No Setup Needed

I bought this to replace my previous remote, which had started to wear out, with the buttons needing to be pressed harder as it aged, so it was time for a new one.After putting in two AAA batteries it worked straight away, with all functions behaving as expected. I have two Sony TVs in my house, different models and a few years between them, and it works fine on both. In fact, Sony have used the same infrared signals for all their TVs for over 20 years, so this remote will work with virtually any UK Sony model made since the year 2000.It feels about standard size, fairly lightweight, and comfortable to hold. The standard buttons are all present, but they may be in a different configuration from whichever remote you’re currently using. The volume and channel +/- buttons are at the lower end, with the numbered buttons near the top, the opposite of my previous one, but I got used to it very quickly.There are also a few special buttons: a YouTube button and a Netflix button. I’d seen these before on other remotes and thought they were mostly a novelty, but once I became familiar with them they turned out to be quite handy, switching the television directly to the respective app without any intermediate menus. Yes, it saves only about three seconds, but then having a remote control at all is a small, lazy indulgence generally, so I like it.Another very handy bonus button, which I wasn’t expecting, is the channel toggle switcher. Pressing this flips between the current channel and the one you were watching last, back and forth each time you press it. This is actually quite useful, for example, when adverts come and you want to have a quick look at what’s happening on the other side for a couple of minutes, you can just click this button to flip over and back easily. Still working perfectly till today, bought for Sony bravia TV as a replacement. It works perfectly and works with my xiomi entertainment fire stick.Perfect

The original controller was not much cop as the lag when selecting was painfully slow at times. I thought perhaps replacing it would improve this problem. No different at all. To be fair though, aside from this irk, this controller is better built than the original one and is solidly built. The buttons are a little tougher to push, but it's new and this will ease after use. It is good as a replacement, especially as it's more sturdy than the original. The lag when selecting on it may be an overall problem, or the TV sensor.

The font is very slightly different from the original, and the finish isn't perfect, but this control actually works better than the original. Typical acrid chemical smell that cheap electronics tend to have nowadays. Crisp feeling responsive buttons

Purchased this because the original remote seemed to drain batteries very quickly. This remote seems functionally as good as the original and batteries do seem to last a bit longer although we are still talking a few weeks and not months. Seems to be a good durable , compatible replacement. Recommended

This remote is very easy to use. Theres no setup required so it works straight away with the TV which is really convenient.The buttons are clearly labelled and laid out in a familiar way making it simple to navigate menus, adjust volume, and switch channels without any confusion. It feels just like using the original remote.Its also responsiv, with no noticeable delay when pressing buttons.
