KitchenAid KSMPDX 5-piece Pasta Deluxe Set Attachment for KitchenAid Mixers

The kitchen-aid 5 piece pasta attachment set is worth every penny but buy it on sale! The quality is substantially better than any of those off brand ones. These are made in Italy and are solid metal and have the Kitchen-aid name and warranty behind them. This hands down has the hand crank pasta machines beat. Both hands are free while your the motor on your mixer does the work. The directions on how to use these pasta attachments are clearly written and easy to follow. I made sheets of pasta for a roll up twist on manicotti, fettuccine and angel hair pasta. Using the brush that’s provided make quick work of brushing the flour out of the rollers, so it’s quite easy to clean. I used Tipo 00 pasta flour for my sheet pasta and it was delicious. I used a combination of Tipo 00 flour and semolina for my fettuccine and angel hair. Side note on the brush- it’s narrow to get into the slats of the pasta rollers. I have a natural boar bristle brush that I use for brushing the flour off of the underside of those attachments. Look for them in basting brushes. You will want to have a pasta drying rack on hand for convenience.

I asked for these for my birthday so I could learn the art of homemade pasta. I am so glad I did. Once you try it, it’s so easy! There’s also something very satisfying about running a little pancake of pasta dough through the machine a couple of times and ending up with a three foot long sheet of perfectly thinned dough! Then you cut it into thirds and add some rice flour to keep it from sticking (rice flour won’t dry out the pasta as much), push it through the pasta cutter and you have a beautiful, tender tagliatelle (or whatever you’re making) that’s ready for cooking or freezing. We’ve made a few mistakes in the dough that caused tearing or breaking or ruffling, and after re-kneading it and letting it rest it can go right back into the machine and still turn out great. The only issue I’ve had is when dough gets stuck in the sheeter. It isn’t easy to clean out unless you let the past dry for a day and then shake it out once it’s hard. The little brush they give you doesn’t help much in that regard but it works well for removing excess flour.

My days (and I do mean full days 😁) of rolling and cutting pasta on the board, by hand are now officially over. I finally decided enough is enough. I could no longer look at my Stand Mixer any longer and ignore the fact that my life would be made so much easier with these attachments. I make a lot of pasta. What a good decision I made buying this set. Worth every dollar I spent. Pasta making is now less a chore and more of a pleasure. I have discovered the Zen of pasta making. The build on these attachments is solid and heavy. No cheap aluminum or lightweight plastics. Steel baby steel. With proper use, these should outlast many Stand Mixer upgrades for years to come. Pasta is great every time. Uniformity is a good thing with pasta and I have it now. Sometimes doing it by hand the results are less consistent. Operation and cleanup couldn't be easier. If I'm not careful, I'm going to become a Kitchenaid Mixer Attachment junkie. I'm already eyeing my next purchase. 😁

These attachments are the BOMB! works great with my 20 year old Kitchenaid....Hosted a Pasta making party and they were a hit! Solid steel construction means they will last a long time! they made pasta making quick and easy! I cannot recommend any more highly!!!

Best product in anyone’s kitchen

This worked well for making pasta. However, I wish it could be washed. It is very hard to clean.

I tried an off brand and had to return it because the pasta wasn't coming out even. I found this on sale and splurged. I am so glad I did. The product is so sturdy and so easy to use. We won't be going back to store pasta after using these attachements.

Unbelievably useful, well made, no plastic parts! Works Smoothly! Washes easily. Makes four different size pastas and then the sheets you can slice to make lasagna or cut to make ravioli. I’m Italians and I found this SO much easier! Adore it!

Fantastische set, en met 2 pasta vormen meer dan de standaard versie met 3 stuks heb je veel variatie mogelijkheden. Ik heb deze gekocht omdat ik ook graag de lasagnette vorm wilde hebben, en die bevalt erg goed. Het rollen van de lasagne vellen gaat enorm makkelijk, dan simpel een vorm kiezen en weer draaien maar. Als je een kitchenaid hebt, graag zelf pasta maakt, is deze set een absolute must have. Fantastisch materiaal, oer degelijk en deze 5 delige set raad ik aan boven de 3 delige. Voor kleine meerprijs ben je veel completer. Maar deze set is niet makkelijk te verkrijgen, dus doe er hier je voordeel mee !
