It depends on line and application. The 300 series for mono and braid for salmon. For walleyes could get away with a smaller reel using 30lb braid. Great reel i have several.

You can use our Coldwater 200-sized line counter or you can also consider looking at our Coldwater 350 low profile line counter if you want a more compact platform.
