Must have for the SNES Classic
The SNES Classic is an excellent product with a major downside - the controllers. The controllers that come with them are nice and authentic feeling, but they are wired and have no range. The cord on them is tiny and unbearable by today's standards, where controllers are either wireless or have a very generous length. These controllers solve that issue by going wireless via dongle. The controllers are also much more ergonomic; it's got these two small handles on the side that increase the comfort immensely. It feels good in the hand overall, much more natural than the originals. However, the best feature by far is the built in Home button. Originally, if you wanted to go back to the menu, you'd have to do it via the console. It wasn't intuitive at all, because you go to the menu quite a bit with the SNES Classic. Imagine if the Xbox or PS4 didn't have a Home button and you had to get up and go to the console every time you wanted to return to the main menu. It was very annoying, and this button solves that. The controller itself works pretty well. The buttons are nice and clicky and responsive and work for me. I played through all of Super Mario World and never blamed the controller for any of my mistakes, which is a good sign. However, I'm by no means a hardcore gamer - I'm just a casual user replaying the SNES I had growing up - so other, more technical users might have issue with it, but I personally did not. Overall - highly recommended. In my opinion it's a must have accessory for any SNES Classic.

KEEPS GOING AND GOING! LONG BATTERY AND AWESOME FUNCTIONALITY!
Keeps Going and Going! Okay, so not the energizer bunny, but this controller has lasted me about 60+ hours of game play so far without showing any signs of stopping. I have two of these and they work great together. My brother is an over-the-road trucker (and I'm a disabled veteran). When he's home on the weekends, I tend to play a lot of these spectacular games with him. We often lose track of time and play for several hours each day. We have never had any lag, or connectivity issues. Some things to keep in mind are the fact that you need to plug in directly to the wall outlet (surge protector, etc.) using the included power supply. It takes power to allow the signal to do it's job via the dongle (and it can't accomplish this long periods of time using a mere USB port on your television). The ability to access the home screen has saved this system and brought it from zero to hero in no time! Okay, it was always a hero, but the controller was lacking before this beauty came along. It's actually slightly less elongated than the original controller, but also slightly taller. The indentations in the controller allow for an ergonomic fit (compared to the original). Also, it's lightweight and balanced! NO LAG! I had to mention that again, because I have played every single game on here multiple multiple times, and it works amazing every time! The batteries are even balanced in the controller as one goes on each side of the controller! In short, buy two and stop worrying about the negative reviews (most of the time, they are competitors or someone not reading all of the instructions). As for the sync issues, the only time I have to "resync" is during start up and it's literally as simple as holding start button for like 1 second. I have NEVER had the controller need a resync in the middle of a game at all!!! ENJOY!

I got no strings, to hold me down (anyone? anyone?)
I was very fortunate in that I was able to get a NES Mini for my birthday. However, much to my dismay, after unwrapping the package, I discovered what many other NES Mini owners have been on about...short cables (hell of an oversight there, Nintendo). Most notably, the controller cable is incredulously short...I don't remember my original NES having such short controller cables, but back then, cordless phones were all the rage, so there's that. To get around this, I connected the mini using a 10 foot HDMI cable (I don't know why I have this) and an equally long power cable (ANY Micro-USB 2.0 cable will work...don't get suckered in by uselessly fancy titles and overpay for what is the equivalent of a non-Apple phone charger). But nobody likes having cables running from the display, across the floor, onto a table in front of you, just so you can use the packaged controller (which really does feel smaller than I remember). So naturally, I reached for my (wireless!) phone, and pulled up the My Arcade GamePad Classic - Wireless Controller! Ordered on Amazon, arrived on a Sunday (weird!), plugged them in (I ordered 2), and I was rockin' and rollin' without a hitch! The D-Pad is very nice and responsive; the squared A and B buttons were a little odd upon first impression, but they respond smoothly and quickly (important for Punch-Out...more on this later); the back of the controller has this deep(ish) groove in the back that isn't bothersome and makes gripping the controller easy; but notice that I have said nothing about the "Select" and "Start buttons. The center buttons (select and start) are located towards the top of the controller. While this may seem like a small shift, it unfortunately DOES result in a few missed opportunities in games where you may need to pause very quickly (The Legend of Zelda uses the "select" key to pause the game), or you may need to use a super punch (the "start" key in Punch-Out!) but the window of opportunity is but a few seconds, and you're frantically pressing your thumb where the "start" key USED to be (muscle memory can be useless here). This is a somewhat small gripe, but it's a gripe nonetheless (but not quite enough for me to take a full star). However, the wireless functionality is pretty amazing and you can use 2 controllers simultaneously without any hiccups. If you stop using the controller for a short period of time, the controller does disconnect from the receivers, but just remember to hit a button before you un-pause a game and you'll be fine (I don't get ppl who complain about this. Seriously...press a button and give it a second.) Overall, these controllers are pretty awesome, and at this pricepoint, they're hard to argue against (seriously, the $40 controllers are beyond ridiculous as far as price is concerned). I can't speak to battery life because I haven't had them that long and I don't play as long as I'd like, but go to the dollar store (or..uh...go to Amazon! yeah!) and get some triple A batteries and you'll be fine. TL;DR Version PROS: Wireless; Responsive buttons; Wireless; D-Pad is accurate and comfortable; Wireless; Controller is comfortable in-hand; Wireless; Projected battery life is good (but unconfirmed as yet) CONS: Select and Start buttons are awkwardly placed, which leads to taking punishment in Punch-Out (I miss the "Mike Tyson's" part of that title); NOT-A-PRO-OR-CON: Controller can temporarily disconnect with lack of activity, but just press a button (other than the PAUSE) to restore the connection before you resume your game.

Connection problems and shocks!
I want to love these. They worked great for an hour and now the connection just drops constantly. I cant keep them paired. I would be fine with it if the game paused when the pairing drops but instead you just lose. UPDATE: resetting the nintendo corrects the issue temporarily however the controller also shocked me tonight, which cannot be a good sign. Update 2/6/17 - when using both wireless controllers the pairing consistently quits on the second controller, regardless of which one i use as controller 2. I have also been shocked multiple times from the side of the controller. I cannot recommend these and am returning them today.

Great Bluetooth Controller with a Home Button for the SNES classic
Hello, everyone. Long time gamer here, just receiving this game pad today. After an hour of use I felt inspired to write a review for this controller. First, the reason I chose this game pad over a more well known brand in 3rd party controllers. The home button. While I appreciate the aesthetics of a clone of the original Super Nintendo controller, the home button is a must to enjoy the Super Nintendo Classic. Some of the other controllers have a button combo method to reach the home screen. I don't feel like having to explain that every time I let someone else use the system, however. The button does what it is supposed to do, make navigation simple. Next comes the pleasant surprise. The controller is great to handle. I was worried before receiving the controller that the shape would be uncomfortable. It is not. The shoulder buttons curve just right with your index fingers and the controller offers good grip without much effort. The controller buttons feel true to the original SNES controllers, with the difference of the A and B buttons being concave and the X and Y buttons being convex. The original controller had opposite setup. The D-Pad is wonderful on this controller. For games like Contra, I would always have issues with my character continuing to run when I needed him to lay flat to avoid damage. This D-Pad eliminates this issue by being much snappier at the tips of the pad, while still allowing diagonal press without any issue. I have not yet been able to test battery life but will update as I use the controller more. The controller take 2 AAA batteries, but offers a micro usb port, which would charge rechargeable batteries. Only con I can think of at the moment would be the weight of the controller. Even with the batteries in it feels a little lighter than I would prefer, however this seems to be only a cosmetic issue as the controller feels durable and of good quality. As for the Bluetooth connection, setup was simple. I plugged in the dongle and hit the home button. That's it. I am receiving no lag from switching away from the corded controller. The range for connection is surprisingly long, much longer than the average person would need to play a game. That is also exciting, as I have experienced both poor connection and lag from previous Bluetooth controllers, which just ruins the gaming experience altogether. You don't want your controller to remind you it doesnt have a cord. You just want it to work. So far that is what i am seeing here.

Works good but with limitations
It's nowhere near the quality of an Xbox or PS controller but it gets the job done. When I first used it I was getting very frustrated due to connection problems. It got to the point where it was completely unusable. I decided to move a little closer to the console/TV and it fixed the problem. So the limitation is it works as long as you stay about 6 feet or less from the console. I also noticed that it will lose the connection if there is no direct line of sight between the controller and the receiver so make sure the path is clear.

Does it Work? Yes It Does? Does it work Well? It has a slight moment...
Alright all you Gamers out there, this is an honest review of a product in which I seem to have. I wanna give the seller 5 Stars because they got nothing to do with the controller itself. So if you're wanting to know what kind of environment these controllers are in, the last wireless one got chucked across the room during a game of Tecmo Super Bowl, in which the loser was getting beaten embarrassingly 28-0 in the first quarter with 2:35 Left to go, so it got winged across the room during a fumble, and was NOT this brand. I bought this brand because it looked tough, meaty, durable, almost like you it could take a couple of rounds and still work. We have not beaten this controller mind you, we bought 3, 1 hanging on the wall if for instance one of them gets destroyed, however I'm pretty sure that these are going to make it through the day. The upside -It takes AAA rechargeable batteries and the battery hatches are perfectly placed. -The Buttons are really nice and feel like a classic NES Controller button and response wise. -The Home Button is in a great spot along with the start and select However.. Read The Downside Below... -It feels good in a big or small hand. Looks are deceiving, it looks like it could be uncomfortable for smaller hands but it is not. -Controller Input is amazing, It's very responsive within a 15-20 Foot Range, Outside may be variable depending on your environment. The Downside -It takes rechargeable batteries.. No USB Charing Port for them, nothing so you will need to use your battery charger. -The Start Select & Home Button are very small for larger fingers. Easily pushed and CAN lead to some mishaps(Accidentally backing out to the home screen, make sure you save early & often!). For normal Fingers they are still a bit awkward in size. -There is no 30 foot range on these things. Tried all 3 controllers with their adapters(which are not married by the way they will connect to whatever controller is turned on first), I get about 18-20, I have a lot of wifi devices around my NES Classic however, including a desktop and a few laptops at any given day, so that COULD possibly be the reason, otherwise the connection is solid within those ranges in certain areas of my place. Those slight engineering problems with the Select Home & Start Buttons are why I gotta give it only 4 stars because it was concerning once I started thinking of other games that do rely on pressing the select button (Some Role Playing Games), and how mad I would be if I got backed out of a game and accidentally deleted it after playing it a few hours. But with other designs, it's in a safer place for what we use it for (Tecmo Super Bowl) However during Punch Out! it became noticeable a few times when we were using the Uppercuts and when selecting plays using the Select Button that it was easy to hit the home button. Other than that if you're looking for a really good durable controller I have to recommend this one.

Great controller for Wii, to play retro games.
The controller simple to use plug thr dongle into wii remote, purple light. Controller requires 2 AAA batteries. No lag, response is quick and turbo feature is awesome for playing beat em up games. I highly recommend this controller. Only thing I would change would be to be a little wider for adult hands. Still comfortable to play for long periods of time.
