Sturdy, even when abused.
I was tempted to unscrew my sound guy's head when I saw him using this thing like a walking stick on set, but it held up well and still gets the job done. Sure there's fancier boom poles out there, but you don't need that, you want a boom pole that's cheap, reliable, and can reach the moon if you asked it to. Adjusts out to distances that will make your sound guy wish he worked out more, especially when you threaten to throw hands over how he's holding it, and the adjustment thingies are nice and tight, holding everything firmly, even when your noodle arm sound guy uses it. The head also supports your common shock mounts and all that jazz. Real nice and doesn't transfer a lot of sound up the pole.

Wow...this is much nicer than I expected
I recently picked up a Rode shotgun mic and while a shock mount on my camera is sufficient for most of the projects I do, there are some occasions (i.e. field recordings, short narrative films) where a boom really comes in handy. I knew that I would likely only be shooting with a boom 2-3 times a year, so I didn't want to pay hundreds for a boom pole, but I also didn't want something flimsy or noisy.I didn't think I'd find anything that met my needs under $100, and I was skeptical about this one when I saw it was under $50. Honestly, the only reason I bought it was because I've been extremely happy with other Neewer products I've purchased (especially my dual dimmable/full color spectrum LED light kit, which is INCREDIBLE for the cost). My expectations were exceeded as soon as I took the pole out of the box. It's definitely "all there", much more metal than plastic, and it didn't feel like a toy. While it was solid, it wasn't "heavy", and really well weight-balanced. The extension locks are high-quality, and it includes three nice velcro straps for locking down your XLR cable. There are upper and lower padded hand grips that, while not incredibly comfortable, I don't see being an issue after a couple hours of use.I only have a few hours of time with this pole (mostly shooting field recordings), but I've experienced no unwanted noises caused by the pole, and it has worked well in a number of indoor and outdoor environments, from fully closed down to full extension.Great job Neewer--keep it up!

Muy buen artículo
El artículo es largo, ligero y buena calidad. Lo recomiendo, el envío si estuvo demorado, pero valió la pena la espera.

Middling
Lightweight, nice grip, good cord control. Certainly cheaply made and easy to get a clanking sound if not careful. I appreciate this option in my price range.

Sturdy. Lightweight. Minimal flex
Grabbed this boom mic to do some corporate interviews to have a shotgun mic as a backup for my lavaliere mics and it worked out great. Using a sennheiser MKG600 mic (no blimp) and this had minimal flex and was easily maneuvered over the talent. Has a long enough reach to put the stands behind the cameras as well. Great purchase!

Works great for me in small studio and on location
I have two of these and they work perfectly for what I need. I use a c-stand a holder for this boom pole to fly it in for perfect placement of my shotgun mic. It's sturdy and holds my shotgun mic well.
