Easy to use! Great value!
I am brand new to vacuum sealing and I watched a ton of reviews. This little gem was always in the top 3, and I caught it during a lightning deal on Amazon. After watching an instructional video on you tube, I opened the box and sealed my first bag on the first try! No issues at all. It comes with a few bags and a roll. I cut one of the bags too short and that was the only time it didn't work. It pulled out of the vacuum chamber and sealed the bag without vacuuming. My own fault. I cut a bigger bag and sealed it no problem. I've read that people have trouble closing it, but you just have to push on both sides until it clicks. You can feel when it's closed because it has buttons that pop out on the sides. My mom has another brand that is much more expensive and she is always having issues. This thing is a breeze. I sealed everything in my freezer this weekend. I even bought some generic bags and they work just as well as the ones that came with it. 100% recommend.

Great gift for those who meal prep
Got this for my mom for Mother’s Day and she uses it for vegetables and other meal preps so it is very versatile. Compared to other machines this price is very nice and the quality matches it.

Waited 3 Weeks to deliver, then put it to the test
So I ordered this 3 weeks ago. The first delivery got lost, and the second made it, after a full week of lead time. It was 21 days in all to get this unit, but under the current conditions, not complaining. So be patient if you order this unit. Secondly, I did not read the instructions. But I watched a few explainer videos on how this unit works. Seemed simple. And it was. I open the box and took the unit out and started sealing the many dry goods I had sitting here waiting to be processed. I sealed close to 50 bags in about 2 hours. Really had no trouble with the unit. Only a couple of times did I have to 'wiggle' the bag to get the suction to take hold, or open the unit and reset the bag. But for the most part it worked on the first attempt. Sealing worked well and I had no issues with the seals splitting apart. Overall, pretty happy with the unit thus far. Glad to have it and it worked well for me for a solid 2 hours of use. Used it a couple of times since doing only a couple of bags and it still works good. Yes, the controls are a little touchy. I did find myself hitting the super sensitive button controls while opening and closing the lid. Simply had to learn to grab it on the sides only and that took care of that issue.

Love This Machine
I love this machine! It was really easy to use right out of the box and it’s made meal prepping fun. I used to use glassware, but it would get freezer burn and took up a lot of space. It’s easy now to vacuum seal leftovers and have frozen dinners on those nights you just don’t feel like cooking. Pull them out of the freezer, drop in a low boiling pot, and done! I like to double seal, which this machine makes easy. And it also seals other plastic type bags like cereal and fresh veggies. It won’t vacuum these bags, but you can press the air out and get an airtight seal for longer lasting freshness... I was hesitant on this machine because of the bad reviews but after using this, I think a lot of those reviews are user error. You do have to make sure the lid is clicked in on both sides or the plastic can overmelt in places. If you’re doing juicy items or liquids, you need to allow enough extra material and vacuum on gentle. If you over vacuum, the machine won’t seal wet plastic. You can also hit seal before it’s done vacuuming so juices don’t get pressed out. If the machine is sucking and sucking, then the bag isn’t positioned right.. I’ve experienced many of the things in the bad reviews, but again, they were because of user error and easily fixable. All and all I think this is a great machine for the price!

GOOD IDEA WITH POOR EXECUTION
I'll start off saying flat out that this product is not good if your plan is to vacuum seal meats or vegetables for freezing. Now, you might be thinking, "Hey! That's what it's supposed to be for!" To that, I would respond, "Correct." There are some very forgiving people writing reviews on here, documenting their multiple failed attempts for each and then giving kudos because it got it right the 4th time. Bless their hearts. First the good. (1) It does seal the bags quite well. So, if you want to just use it for size appropriate bags for your freezer items and then rull them tight to push out air and seal them up at the other end, THIS is the for YOU! (2) It's light and has fairly simple operation, as far as the controls go. (3) No vampires. There were no vampires hidden in the box. The bad. (1) I'd say it sucks, but it doesn't suck, which is bad for a vacuum device. Your average turkey baster creates a more intense suction than this thing. So, even if the operation of the thing was better, it still would never be able to do its job very well. (2) Everyone going on and on about how the interior bags can't be moist...that's ridiculous. You're saying it's great for me to freeze my turkey jerky? Who is loading these up with dried good day in and day out. No one. If it needs to be bone dry to function then it doesn't function. I'd guess 80% of people buy this to freeze meat, which is mostly water. It's moist. Am I supposed to put meat into a ziploc freezer bag before that bag into the bags for this device? This also is ridiculous. (3) Now, if I follow all of the advice everyone is giving, drying out my bags after loading them with food, placing them on straight, pushing down on the lid until both sides click, etc....about 1 out of every 4 attempts will result in the device functioning. Again, however, it's not much suction. It's not going to be like a shrink-wrapped food item you've ever purchased. Still, it will have worked. However, you'd probably be spending about an hour to separate and freeze a dozen chicken legs (2-3 to a pack). A freezer bag could do the same job by just manually pushing out air before freezing and take 1/10th the time. So, in summation. This is a great purchase if you are SUPER bored during the COVID-19 outbreak. It's great if you have nothing but free time on your hands and lower your expectations to semi-vacuum. The 4 and 5 star reviews, I'd have to assume that those are relatives, Billy Joe and Bobby Sue NurtiChef, 2nd cousins on the mother's side. It just isn't possible to be that thrilled by this purchase. From what I've read about returns (3rd part seller), it's probably not worth it. At least I have a sealer now.

VACUUM SEALER IS COMPACT AND WORKS GREAT.
This vacuum sealer is very sleek and it looks really nice on the counter. Because it was a Christmas gift, I have only used it once. It is my second vacuum sealer and it has more capabilities and worked really well. The instructions are very complete. I give it five stars so far. I am very pleased with it. I love how compact it is. The quality is excellent and the customer support is exceptional.

Had this 3 years and still works great!
I bought this so we could buy in bulk after months of COVID and no end in sight. Tonight I sealed 15 lbs of ground beef in minutes, 1 lb portions for our household and 1/2 lb portions for my disabled sister. Works great on chicken breasts too. Beats wrapping in Press n Seal & foil. 1) beef and chicken frozen for 6 months, no freezer burn 2) thaws faster than foil wrapped 3) doesn't leak when thawing in the fridge! Fits well in my cupboard (was stored in a drawer before remodel), not heavy at all, cleans up well. As another reviewer said, the lid has to 'snap' down on both sides and it takes a little practice, including cutting bags to the right size. I buy the 8" roll (I have a dispenser with cutter), the 6" x 10" precut and only occasionally use a 11" roll, and all 3 sizes seal very well. Doesn't work for bread or pastries because it smashes them. Haven't used for liquids but am considering trying it for soups. I wouldn't hesitate buying another of this brand, it's a workhorse!

Decent for the price, but short-lived. Finicky.
Did it work? Yes-ish: “Great” for 2 years, “Pretty good” for 3 years, “almost” for 1 year. Dead in its 6th year. So … Does it work now? Nope. How’s the sealing? It’s good, but not perfect. Hot parts fuse plastic, but if there’s a drop of moisture or I-don’t-know-why (protoplasm?) in a spot, then that spot isn’t sealed and you’ll lose your vacuum & start over. I made it a habit to seal 2 lines a 1/4” apart, for everything, so I could avoid the protoplasm check-and-redo step. How’s the vacuum? It’s finicky and likes special treatment and gentle pressures here & there and arrangements. I often wished for 3 hands to get it to operate perfectly. So when it works, it’s fine, but it isn’t really ‘plug & play’ in this regard. The amount of vacuum was good, but it didn’t reliably work because the design of the hinge + locks was insufficient. There was a lot of “why isn’t there sucking going on right now?” A sentence I suspect many have uttered. Longevity? Nope. Given how very little use this got (seasonal garden vegetables mostly) and the good treatment it received, it should have lasted a looong time. Why’d it break? Design flaw: there’s a 5-wire flat bundle running up through the hinge, as I found when I dismantled the corpse. The hinge itself, over time and repetition, severed those wires. Too little material slack & given the point of failure - not possible for me to simply solder them together again. Worth the money? Probably yes for some, depending on your needs and your frequency of use. It was a good starter unit with a low cost to help us decide if we’d use it enough to justify owning one. (I’m going to pay more for my next one. Which I will likely regret when it fails & end up buying one of these again every 5 years. *Sigh*) The good news? As noted by another reviewer, there indeed were no vampires hidden in the box.
