Just got the Hawk Cinch Deer Drag in, and right out of the package I’m impressed. The materials feel tough and well-made, not cheap or flimsy at all. You can tell it’s built to handle real weight and rough conditions, which is exactly what you want when it’s time to move a deer. The design looks simple but effective—everything about it seems like it’ll reduce strain and make dragging a lot smoother, especially over longer distances or rough terrain. Definitely feels like a piece of gear that’s going to earn its keep. Haven’t had the chance to put it to use in the field yet, but I’m looking forward to running it this upcoming deer season. I’ll come back and update this review after I’ve had some real-world use with it. First impressions are strong—easy 5 stars so far.

The last deer I shot before getting this resulted in having to drag the body uphill, over trees, and resulted in a very sore body. Saw this online, and for the price figured why the heck not. Worked perfectly for the very next whitetail. 2 weeks later, my dog found a few day old deer carcass in the back yard (yuck--my pooch enjoyed the find). Next morning I went out to a frozen solid deer, hooked up the dragger, and pulled the stiff deer back into the woods. Cannot beat this thing for the money. So much easier!!

These work excellent for dragging out deer. Better than using antlers solo. They only get 4 stars because they get tore up after just one use. The ends need to be reinforced to prevent pulling into the pvc pipe and the plastic around the wires needs to be reinforced, it becomes frayed, pulling against the antlers, exposing the cable. I've purchased 2, both has same results but the drag is well improved with this. In fairness, this was a small deer but it was drug off a mountain 988 yards as a crow flies. The first one we used drug a large forked horn through the sage brush from about 200 yards off the mountain top, as a crow flies.

I've had this drag since 2017 and it's drug out every deer except for one. It's been through the ringer it's got cracks now the rubber coating is gone but it still keep trucking. I love how compact it is, overall I'll keep supporting a company who keeps putting out amazing products.
