2 gang capable electrical box with 1/2" threaded inlets at the top, bottom, and backplane of the box. The 1/2" threaded inlet/outlet is NPT and accepts connectors like EMT and 1/2" pipe. There are caps included to terminate the threaded ports while maintaining a weatherproof status. The 1/2" double gang is probably one of the most common sizes and the 1/2" threaded ports allow for easy, drill-free expansion. Using the 1/2" threaded ports for connectors keeps a clean and professional look that is correct and safe when installed to local code requirements. This was a value purchase that I would buy again.

Quality box, did not have mounting option for a centered outlet and only three knockout (screws) locations (top bottom and back) otherwise everything you need to install box.

Excellent quality and was cheaper than buying locally. I Use them with Hubbell/Taymac metal in use covers and everything seals and fits perfectly.

Did what I needed it to do - be an outdoor electrical box - and I have no complaints at all.

Box construction is good but if you plan on using ground pigtails, make sure the screws are the same thread size. I didnt before I swapped the ground screw out for a ground pigtail, and I stripped out the first box’s ground. Luckily I was grounding all my outlets with a dedicated ground, not just bonding to the box. But just an FYI. Other than that detail, box is great!

Box mounted outside on a post in direct weather. Went thru Wisconsin Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring with no issues.

The Depth of this box is NOT "2.82” Depth" as indicated in the description. (Sellers, please correct this in the description!). Those who are looking for a deep outlet box, this is not the one. The depth is only the standard 2.16 inches. Note, many GFCI, receptacles with integrated USB power connectors may not fit in this box.

eI recently had to replace a broken electrical box. I chose the ENERLITES Weatherproof Outlet Box because I needed an outdoor outlet box that had multiple outlets. It is made of a durable metal and powder coated and is of excellent quality. Is designed to used with conduit.
