ChiaoGoo Twist Red Lace 5-inch Complete 7500-C Interchangeable Set

I had heard all the hype about this needle set and was skeptical that it would live up to my expectations once I got it. I have an Addi set that comes unhooked mid-knit and a KnitPicks set where the tips come unglued from the connector mid-knit, so I had resigned myself to buying fixed needles for each project. Well, I can say that so far this set is worth the money and totally lives up to the hype. The tips are great to use—sharp and easy to hold. The cable joins are totally imperceptible. The cables are flexible and smooth. If you’re unsure, just do it.

Bought as a gift to myself as I started to learn knitting. Like the feel of the needles in the local yarn shops. Not at all impressed with other aluminum, plastic, or bamboo knitting needles. Went with circular knitting needle set as its got all the sizes I'll use in my lifetime. Love the red cables, connectors, 5" needle length, and storage pouch. I don't really care for the stitch markers, but that's just my personal preference. No regrets with spending the money on this purchase and I debated about a month before even making the purchase as I don't normally spend $ 180 on myself. Local yarn shop had same set for $ 220 at the time. It was worth it and no regrets.

I used to knit when I was in my teens and twenties, gave it a break for about 40 years, then dove right back in the past year. Things have changed. Thank goodness. I used to use the 14" aluminum straight needles and the twisty aggravating old style circular needles. After diligent research I first bought the entire set of Chiagoo 10" straight needles for smaller projects and I LOVE them. Then I bit the bullet and bought this 5" complete interchangeable circular needle red lace cable set. INCREDIBLE. I started a hat on the 14" straight needles and discovered that age and arthritis meant that the needles were too long, too heavy and made my fingers hurt. So I switched to the interchangeable needles with the middle size red lace cable and OMG I knit faster, more accurately on cable stitches, and my hands don't hurt. Worth every penny. From a techy standpoint, screwing the cables on is super easy, absolutely use the tightener but don't overtighten (no need), the connection is smooth and yarn slides right over. And there's just something about these red lace cables that makes knitting incredibly easier. They have just enough weight to keep from twisting into knots or cutting into your yarn. You can combine more than one cable to extend the length but I haven't done that yet. Now a note of caution. I bought the 5" interchangeable needles because I work with DK and worsted weight mostly. And I LOVE this length needle. Chiagoo also makes a 4" interchangeable needle set but now that I have the 5" set, I know that the 4" set would be too short for my hands to work easily. So play around with your existing needles and see which length you could handle better for your size hands and the yarns you use. Have fun!

This is my scone set of interchangeable needles and they are amazing. My first set was cheaper and I thought they were good but now after purchasing this set I realized they were not. This set is worth the price. I love the tapered tips, they are longer than my first set which works better when knitting using the magic loop. The cords stay attached and do not have to tighten as much as my old set. Only twice when knitting a sock where my old set I was constantly having to tighten the cords. I would recommend this set to anyone looking for a good set of interchangeable needles.

love this set! so so worth it I love these needles, they make knitting such a smooth experience. I love having the set because I can just pick up yarn I have sitting around and start making whatever I want. Worth the price! Specially considering how, if i loose or have anything damaged, they'll replace it with my receipt.

I have been a crocheter for many years. I have always wanted to try knitting but always found it to be awkward until I learned continental knitting. It is similar to crochet but with two needles. I found that straight needles, especially if they are long still feel awkward to me. I purchased an inexpensive pair of circular needles and fell in love with using the circular needles. However, I wasn't in love with the pair that I purchased. I started to do some research and I decided to invest in a pair of ChiaoGoo needles. I was hooked so to speak. I like the convenience of having all the size needles so that I am ready for any project. The case is pretty and well-made. The cord is the best part because it does not twist. The needles are very smooth and feel good in my hand. I have read other reviews where the cord may come loose from the needle. It is very important that you use the tool that is included in the kit to tighten the screw as tight as you can. If you lose the tool, a paper clip will work just as well. Happy Knitting.

Met expectations - feels smooth and beautiful to work with using varying yarn types. Occasionally the needles will unscrew from the cords. The tightening keys work to help. Would have been more useful if the cables, needles, accessories, were all the same gauge, vs small and large, just for extended versatility.

My mother started me knitting 60 years ago. In that time I have tried every brand of knitting needle that has been produced. I knit plain stitches, intricate lace patterns and also fully cabled sweaters. This set of needles are the absolute best and are the ONLY needles you should buy. They fit comfortably in your hands - by that I mean the actual needle of your required size is the perfect length. The cables joining the needles are wonderful and do not have to be soaked in warm water like some to uncurl them. Your knitting slides easily along the needle/cable thus you don't have to stop and slide your work along to continue knitting the stitches. They seem to be of excellent quality and I feel that they will last for years. These are rather expensive for knitting needles but they are worth EVERY penny. Would I recommend these - ABSOLUTELY!

From the first few stitches, I could feel how different these needles are. It was stunning! The cord laid flat and out of the way. The joins are smooth, the needles themselves are sharper but not stabby, which makes knitting easier and so smooth and stops the wool separating across the needle points. They are light and very comfortable to use. The metal itself is a little more grabby than others I have used. Not at all sticky, but stitches stay put and, particularly in pattern rows, I find they don’t slip off the needles like before, so I feel I have much more control over what I am doing. I cannot recommend these needles highly enough!
