Great shredder. Tears up 5 sheets no problem. Does bog a bit at 8, says it will do 10 but haven’t tried.

I previously had the discontinued model C220P which I sadly, one day mistakenly tried to shred a credit card unknowingly that contained metal inside. It deformed the opening of the feeder and would no longer auto shred paper. After two years my favorite shredder was toast. It probably would've never stopped working had I not tried to shred the metal credit card. Because of the reliability of that model (which is no longer available for sale), I ended up having to buy this model CD222P which performs very well as expected. Even reverse function seems more powerful. Hoping this one holds up like the last and I will be sure to test credit cards with scissors (for presence of metal) before trying to shred next time. I haven't had to try customer service yet. So, cannot comment on that. Which is a positive for me.

Bought this model after being disappointed with a different type that didn't cut great. I like the performance and output of this shredder. Its powerful and shreds mostly as advertised. A disappointment was the size of it. Its a lot smaller than a standard waste basket and fills up very quickly, which makes it difficult to do a cleanup day for sensitive paperwork. When too full, the shreds become larger. Because the shredder cannot be used with a different container and the connection/safety plug prevents using a bag insert, it requires very frequent emptying (which is messy because it has to be manually poured into a bag, so shreds end up everywhere on the floor). The insert slot is a very narrow, so although one can technically feed 10 pages at once, it takes a minute just to align everything perfectly to fit in. A wider/more conical shaped opening would have been helpful.

Still going strong after all these years! Strong and dependable! Make sure you empty it when it gets to the top or the shreds will interfere with the mechanism!

I love this machine it grinds everything

I love this shredder, paper glides through easily and it is fun to use!! It saves me so much work!! The price was right and well worth it, I must say this is one of my favorite products I've purchased from Amazon. The cross cuts could be a littler smaller, other than that it's perfect!! As far as safety, the teeth are recessed and safely away from your fingers.

Quiet, does handle cardboard like a pro! Shredding for packing supplies, compost, garden, and animal bedding! This item is great!

It's a good shredder but over heats after 30 min of use and it turns off you need to let it cool down before using again, easy to empty, medium noise, compact, good appearance , for safety i only plug it when I use it.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet. Came with a USA 2-pin plug. Not mentioned in the product description. Have had to order an adapter.

Surpreende pela performance, ela cumpre o que promete, muitas vezes o rendimento é maior do que o anunciado antes de desligar no automático e precisar aguardar o tempo de descanso. A trituradora é eficiente e fácil de manusear, sendo automática e funcionando apenas na hora de colocar os papéis para triturar economizando energia e a própria vida útil do equipamento. O tempo necessário de resfrio também é menor em relação às outras do mesmo valor. Lubrifico facilmente as engrenagens do triturador com óleo daqueles em spray em folha de papel sulfite. Compraria novamente!

The shredder works well. I have used the disc shredder as well which is adequate, but the shredded pieces could be smaller. The unit does overheat after long usage, after maybe 45 minutes to an hour of paper shredding. If the unit stops working and it feels quite warm, my advice is to leave it for a while and let it cool. The built in breaker (or whatever is used) works, but it is possible to keep using the machine. If I remember correctly the unit can be turned off or unplugged and it will shred again at the point of overheating (again, let it cool for a while).
