Works just fine.
I'm pleased with this router. I replaced my old router that was provided by my cable company with this one and increased my internet speed by 5x.

Owned this modem for almost two years with the supposed defective Intel processor, no issues
This modem was known for having a widespread hardware problem in the intel chipset causing latency and lag, however I have experienced none of these issues nor dropped connections. The only time this unit drops connection is when the area goes down, never had a problem with the unit itself. It does run a little hot, but it has never overheated or caused any heat related issues. Perhaps they were able to fix the issue in a firmware update. (your ISP updates firmware for it when you connect it to their network, you can't on your end). If you don't care about faster internet and just want something basic, this unit will do just fine. But if you want gig plus speeds and something future proof, spend more. I have the 600mbps down plan from Xfinity and speedtests average about 650 down and 40 up. If they jack up the speed again I may have to upgrade but this still is great for plans under gig speed

Solid Budget Modem
I was impressed when I speed tested this modem alongside the 4 year old Cox rental "Panoramic Gateway" or some such nonsense modem (also has WiFi router. Got about 20% better speeds with the SB6190. From 500Gbps to 600Gbps. You can use it for gigabit service, provided your service provider allows a gigabit connection with a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. The irony is that I only pay for a 250Gbps line. But I figure they owe me plenty because I only just realized how dual band WiFi works and that I have been renting a dual band modem for 4 years that has the 5GHz locked out and discovered the Wi-Fi wouldn't even let me change the channels to support a range extender. I also got a renewed Linksys E7350 Wifi/Ethernet router because the SB6190 only has a single Ethernet port and I need more than that. Now I can return the crappy Cox modem and eliminate $15 from my monthly bill. I can't believe how much I paid for that thing over 4 years.

Does not work with fiber optic wifi
(Disclaimer... I am a novice when it comes to this stuff) I hate to give this modem a bad rating because all I've read on it indicates it does a great job. However, this router did not work for me because it will not work with fiber optic internet. I realize there is a disclaimer stating such in the description, but it should provide more explanation than it does. For example, my wifi (Verizon/Frontier and now Ziply Fiber) is fiber optic, but my connection to the modem is a coax cable (and not a fiber optic connection). This caused me confusion as to whether this modem would work or not. I did some internet surfing and it was listed as a modem that would work with a fiber optic signal. I even went so far as to call Arris and THEIR OWN TECH said as long as I had the coax cable connection, that it would work. Well... they were wrong. Yes, it has a coax cable connection, but it uses MoCA (Multi-media over coax alliance) technology. Therefore, the signal is different and this modem will not accept the fiber optic signal. I am returning the modem. I instead used the combo (modem/router) provided by my internet provider, disabled the router on the combo unit and am using my new Eero Pro6 as my router/mesh network. Success! The Eero Pro6 is great (but the app could be better).

Looks and works like brand new
My old modem took a crap and replaced it with this refurbished one. Though it's refurbished it looks like brand new. Once you call your internet provider and let them know mac I'd, it was ready. Easy to setup and performed like as it should.

Definitely a very good Modern
Excellent product! Arrived a day later than projected, but with the wait. So ready to set up and works great. Very fast connection and consistent. Spectrum app would not allow online registration without their tech, but that is with every modern I've used on their network. I highly recommend.

2 Year Review
This modem has been rock solid. It runs 24/7 for two years now, with little to no resets. But I still do a manual power cycle every few months. This replaced another refurbished modem that I bought from woot because I keep losing internet a few times a month and needs a reset.
