Dark, Clever, and Incredibly Immersive The Night Cage is one of the most unique and atmospheric board games I’ve ever played. The concept is simple but genius: you’re trapped in a pitch-black labyrinth with only a single candle, and the board tiles vanish behind you as you move. It creates a constant sense of tension and urgency that really pulls you in. The cooperative gameplay is tight and encourages real teamwork and strategy. Every decision matters, and the randomness keeps each game fresh and unpredictable. The art and components are beautifully eerie—moody, minimalist, and perfect for the theme. It’s especially fun with 4 players, but even with 2, the game still feels challenging and engaging. If you enjoy puzzle-like games with a horror twist and a strong sense of theme, The Night Cage is absolutely worth adding to your collection.

Board game night really liked playing it! It seems deceptively easy when you start, but things can go bad real quick, so stay on your toes! Def recommend.

This game is so fun! This is the first board game we’ve had that is a cooperative game (where players work together to try to win the game). It was easy to understand, and took 5 people about 40 minutes to get through the game. We play a lot of board games, though, so maybe someone who has less board game experience may take a little longer to get through the game. The fun thing about this game is that it is different every time you play. To enhance our playing experience- we turned off all the lights in the house and lit candles! We also played the “Night Cage” playlist on Spotify while we played- it was really fun and added to the experience. I’ve already recommended this game to friends! Go ahead and try it- you won’t be sorry

A fun game that can be enjoyed with 1 - 5 players. There are different monster types that make the game harder but it depends on which ones you want to include. The dlc isn’t required but it’s a neat addon to the main game itself which adds more variety of monsters and new mechanics.

Good little 2 player game. I think with 4 or 5 people, some players will just dominate the team strategy. Played this with my son and it was a fun hour experience to play through and think and talk about what our plan and strategy was. Would play again.

It may look complicated at first but it's actually pretty simple in quite a fun party game where you can carry a conversation'cause the game won't require all of your concentration all the time. It's not a forever game but definitely when I break out from time to time.

OH this has became my go to, favourite game I own! Its pretty much Escape the Dark Castle meets Forbidden Desert, plus amazing art! Rules seem complicated at first but actually aren’t. They also have instructions on an app so you can visually watch it step by step! Oh and best part IT HAS A SOUNDTRACK!!! The soundtrack alone is STUNNING and sets the mood perfectly… but paired with the impeccable art, neat game play, and the cooperative aspect… 10/10 gameplay NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING!!!: make sure (if it gives you the option) at shipping to say “hide in amazon box” rather than ship as is. They literally stuck a label on the box and put it on the porch… don’t do that… :/
