I'm sure these could be used for various things or situations where you would need one but I bought mine for my clock. Yes my clock. It has a backlight feature powered by this type of device only mine I left cheapy batteries in it long after they had exhausted their charge. Well went to take them out after changing the clock back and came to find that the batteries had leaked inside the casing causing it to not function even after I put in new batteries. I didn't even think they made such a thing but on a whim checked Amazon and maybe I should have guessed being they have anything and everything that it was highly probable. In any case was excited to see these available and though I only needed one I "think" the two pack either came out to be a better deal or else I decided it was smarter to get the two pack. At least this way if it were to happen again, I will have a spare to replace it if it does. They work great, very pleased. I'm happy to have my backlight on my clock working again too. Thanks!!

The perfect item for when you want to make a low voltage, USB powered device, portable. Battery life obviously depends on power draw, but its well built and works real well. Great value

I used this to power a hologram that required 5V and it worked flawlessly. Just plugged it in and had no issues at all. Very reliable and a great value for the price.

I purchased these for a project I was working on. They arrived in great condition and with screws to secure the cover. The trouble with them is the individual cell size allowance. I installed NiMH rechargeable batteries (brand-spanking-new) and the fit was excessively tight. I had to really work to get the cover on. Oddly enough, I've had this trouble before with Chinese made battery holders (a flashlight for instance). For some reason Chinese batteries are just a smidge smaller than U.S. batteries. Go to Harbor Freight and get some AA's and see for yourself. The other issue I had was the center cell (+) terminal doesn't protrude through the gap far enough to make contact with the AA cell button. Perhaps this is due to the rechargeable batts having a button height lower in relation to the body height than your typical alkaline or lithium AA cell. I had to remove the terminal and lightly tap an awl using a hammer into the "cup" to make it stick out further. I gave it a little teat or nipple protrusion if you will. That solved the problem. Other than generally having to modify most China made stuff I DO like the fact that there is a USB port attached to it! Hard to find these. Keep in mind these are NOT DESIGNED TO BE USED AS A POWER BANK FOR CELL PHONES!!!! Why? Cell phones require a regulated 5V source to plug the cord into. These are 4.5V nominal with AA and 3.6V nominal with rechargeable batteries plus there is no voltage regulator! It'll never work for this usage without serious modification.

I have a small decorative piece that has an LED light inside and wanted to be able to use it, but could not because it had to be plugged to a usb plug and there was not a plug close enough so i bought this to run it off battery instead and it worked perfect

These worked great and I can't believe I didn't know something like this existed before. I used one of these for my kid's halloween costume, which I rigged with LED lights that were usb powered. I thought I might have to use a power bank, but I didn't like the idea of strapping a battery that big to my 5 year old, or exposing it to wet conditions. This was a stable, and more lightweight way to power her lights and I can continue to use them for other things. Great purchase!

These work great if you are looking to hang things on walls that require a USB plug in but are not close to a wall outlet. Used this for a light up record holder and works perfect

These were perfect. Very good quality and arrived in perfect condition. I was scared of the switch BUT the switches are actually good quality. I'll be ordering more and different sizes soon.
