Grass-Fed Whey Protein Isolate - Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Natural Flavors

I was running out of my ON Whey Isolate w/Stevia, and can't seem to find it at a reasonable price anywhere; stumbled up on Vitacost's Whey Isolate w/Stevia - ingredients more or less match ON's, nutrition profile is essentially the same, and most importantly, it was actually available at a (not cheap, but reasonable) price...so I took a chance; it tastes exactly the same; actually mixes a bit better...some other reviewers mentioned that it's too sweet - I didn't find that to be the case, personally - I think it tastes delicious! I don't detect any aftertaste...basically if you want an equivalent isolate to ON's (and you're like me, you'd prefer to have it sweetened w/Stevia instead of artificial chemicals), I strongly recommend this, you won't be disappointed. PS: I'm slightly lactose intolerant; normal whey messes with my digestion; I started going w/ON's isolate b/c it didn't bother my stomach at all - same with this Vitacost Isolate: absolutely no digestive issues! PPS: Try it mixed it in some 5% Fage Greek yogurt for a pre/post workout (good combo of slow-digesting casein from the Greek yogurt & fast-digesting isolate - it's like a protein drip!)

I had purchased a different brand a week or so ago which was an organic low carb plant based powder & on the grittier side no matter what I did. I also didn’t like the fact that I purchased a healthy tub of carbs instead of whey. I am on a low carb diet so it just didn’t make much sense to continue drinking it as a meal. I also watched a video by Thomas Delauer educating those on choosing protein powders and shakes and he teaches you which ingredients to look for. If you haven’t seen his videos go check him out. Key incentive for me right now is “budget” and just starting out I knew i would be making a ton of costly mistakes. After tasting Nutricoast I immediately could sense the difference in the smooth creamier texture. YUM, a winner right now!!

I’m really impressed with the Nutricost Grass-Fed Whey Isolate in the chocolate flavor. The ingredient list is clean, which is exactly what I look for in a daily protein. No junk, no artificial weirdness, and it’s gluten-free and non-GMO — big plus for me. The flavor is really solid for an isolate. It’s not overly sweet, and it doesn’t have that chalky or chemical taste you get from a lot of proteins. It mixes easily in water or milk with no clumps, and the texture stays smooth even when shaken, not blended. It’s also light on the stomach, which is something I need in a whey isolate. No bloating, no heaviness, just a clean protein that gets the job done. If you want a high-quality grass-fed isolate that tastes great and mixes perfectly, this is a great option. I’d definitely buy it again.

This protein is a good selection for a grass fed whey isolate protein. Higher protein. Low sugar. Decent serving sizes. Not a lot of fillers which is nice. Whey isolate is easier to digest on the belly so take 2-3 scoops at a time does not impact your gut like a regular whey or casein (don’t use). Mixes better than regular whey. Single scoop in water is a little thin but two and the consistency is better. Only complaint is I haven’t gotten to the scooper which is buried at the bottom. Had to using a different one.
