Copco Acadia Travel Mug - Green 16 Oz

I was searching for a microwaveable, insulated travel cup. The reviews for this cup were contradictory so I decided to take a chance. It's not everything I hoped for but, for the price, I'm keeping it. 1) It is REALLY pretty with a clean white exterior and a silicone band in your choice of color. The band provides a great grip, and I assume it also contributes to the insulation. The cup fits easily in my cup holder. 2) It IS insulated (the packaging says it is double walled) but it is not extremely insulated. I can feel that the cup is warm, which means it is leaking heat, but it's much better than no insulation at all. Specifically, I used to fill a paper cup of coffee, the cup was too hot to hold comfortably, and the coffee was stone cold in 30 minutes. I can carry this new cup in comfort and the last of the coffee is still almost warm after 90 minutes. 3) It is dishwasher safe (top-rack per the packaging). I've run it through a few times already. 4) It is microwave safe. The packaging recommends nuking it in 20 second increments. I nuked it for longer before I read the instructions, but I probably wouldn't go so far as to boil water in it. 5) I was so puzzled by the reviews about this cup being leakproof and the lid being screw-on. I thought -- and hoped -- that I could screw on the lid and toss it into a bag. Let's be clear: It's leakproof the way every cup that holds liquid should be leakproof: It doesn't leak liquid out of the bottom. That's a pretty basic expectation. It also doesn't leak out from under the lid, but neither does a paper cup with a plastic snap-on lid. The lid is screw-on, so it's secure, but there is a sipping hole at the top which has no cover and will pour liquid if you tip it over. It's a fine cup if you keep it upright. It's not the throw it in my bag travel cup I was hoping for. Overall, a good cup, but not a great cup. I prefer something that I could close up entirely, but this is the only cup I have found so far that is both insulated and microwaveable. I'm giving it 5 stars because it essentially delivers what it promises.

Keeps beverage hot or cold. Does not seal, but doesn’t spill much if it tips. Great as a commuter mug, we use it regularly at home, too.

Love this cup! It washes in the dishwasher, is sturdy and easy to use. It fits my hands and is thick enough to keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. Will order more of these!

Copco Acadia 16 oz mug - love the Copco brand, safe to use, great reusable feature. Easy to clean by hand and top rack dishwasher safe - mug holds up very well. Bought in several colors. The insulation feature is appreciated. We use at home exclusively not for travel.

Just what I was looking for. The first one they sent me was defective, inner liner developed a small crack after 3 uses, causing liquid to get trapped in the insulation layer. They promptly sent me a replacement, and haven't had anymore issues. No more burned lips and easy reheat if it gets cool!

Firstly, I saw the reviews about water getting trapped in between the walls of the cup after washing in the dishwasher. Easy solution, don't put it in the dishwasher. Seriously, it is VERY easy to clean; rinse and wipe out with a napkin, paper towel or dish towel. It cleans REALLY easily in the inside of it and not much more difficult on the outside. The inside feels like Teflon and cleans as easily. The only star I took off was specific to my situation. I have to use a walker/rollator/wheelchair to get from the kitchen back out to where I enjoy my tea (or coffee). IF it tips over on the way, yes, it does spill. If it rolls of the rollator (pun intended) then the top pops off and the whole drink spills. If one carries it in one hand (which I don't have free) when walking, no problem. Sometimes the top doesn't feel on "all the way", have gotten used to doing that "right". BUT... all in all a very, VERY good "coffee" cup. It fits in my smaller microwave (1000 watts) with an inch or two (w/o top, the directions are VERY clear not to heat things up in the microwave with the top on. It holds heat (or cold) VERY well. I think it's a GREAT cup! Adequate size and yet still fits in my smallish microwave. Keeps things hot or cold for long times. EASY to clean (just avoid the dishwasher, cleaning it is almost easier than putting it in and taking it out of the dishwasher). Well made, high quality. A little expensive, but the oats are always more expensive before going into the horse. :-))

Copco cups are the best. They look nice and there are a variety of colors. The only cup I have purchased for over 10 years. The top has an o-ring that prevents leakage and there is no build up underneath it. They fit nicely on the coffee maker and there is enough room left for my creamer. They are dishwasher safe and clean nicely. I rinse them after use to keep the plastic from getting coffee stained. They are very durable. I have never discarded one. They end up getting left somewhere. I have not used them for anything but coffee. However, my husband has used them for ice water. Update: They are still holding up wonderfully. There are no coffee stains. I have 6. Three are coffee stained as they are my husbands and he does not rinse right away. He lets coffee sit in them and then just throws them in the dishwasher. The rubber ring in the top has gotten coffee under it. It's easy to take out and reinsert. Magnifies the need to rinse when emptied.

I use this on my way to work. Unlike other cups I've used this one never seems to spill or spit coffee when I hit a bump. Only had it a couple of months, so I can speak for durability. But it does open easily and close securely. I'm hoping it lasts a long time.

Can be used in a microwave and is a travel mug.

Update 29Dec22 Sleeve came off. Had to clean with cloth and toothpick between sleeve and cup many times because servers sloshed coffee with cream over side of cup. Concerned about cream gunk. Surprised me, but I guess constant drips ate away glue or whatever held it on. Using one of new spares now for coffee, old one ice drinks only without sleeve. Update 22Aug22 Still the best cup. One con for me, as I live in vehicle wash up immediately after coffee with surface disinfectant wipes dry thoroughly, but finding staining in some of join seams. Bought two more same colour sale price for extra lids/seals in-case and for when staining bothers too much. BTW, fill with ice @ McD's 6am, put in cooler, fabulous cold water and ice 1pm. Original Review March 2022 Very happy with this. Bought because Vancouver City ordered take-out-cup fees (instant cash grab for businesses that do take out -- no reduction in food/drink prices because supplies used to be part of costs), which are $0.25 plus tax ($0.28 if you pay /w plastic, $0.30 if you pay /w cash). Only now use take-out restaurants which allow own cup, I live in vehicle so don't have grocery options, use take-out often, this cup has now paid for itself. Also use for coffee if drinking quickly, it doesn't keep hot more than five minutes. Great for ice. NOTE drive-throughs don't allow own cup, have to go inside (another price gouge).

Me encantó el vaso! Está bien diseñado y me encanta su estética. No dura mucho el líquido caliente, pero sí funciona para mientras desayunas o si te lo tomas relativamente rápido. Así no contaminamos más de lo que ya hacemos. Es el 6o que compro para cada miembro de mi familia. Super duradero!

Très bon produit dans l'ensemble mais il manque un couvercle hermétique pour qu'il soit vraiment parfait. Je le recommande quand même.
