The best at any price
I am a professional paint corrector and detailer who alsio does body work. For what this is i have to give it 5 stars. this is my third one . My other two i had for four years with no issues and were used and abused on a daily basis. They were stolen otherwise i would not be buying more. so now that i am replacing all of my tools that were stolen. I am not spending a fortune like i did on my rupes, and flex polishers not when this brand and other knock off brands are just as good and sometimes a lot better. I have had the porter cable. Thist definitely has more power. I use this for my nano skins clay bar pads and sanding paint off of cars. It has a 9mm throw which is great for that. I have every range of throw in da tools. Each diameter of throw has its specific use. I have all three models of hyet polishers they are extremely well made. My list of D/A s. and rotarys that i use daily are Dynablade 3 and 5 mm air powered D/ As , a right angle bauer drill that i use extensions and 1 2 and 3 inch pads with. And several 1 2 3 inch air powered d\a. From hf, northern tool and ebay. A 1990 Milwaukee rotary my first from when i sixteen. 2 old Mkitas. I replaced my whole arsenal for a fraction of the price of what i had spent originally. I will put hyet polishers up against any big name brand. More expsenive is not better. Especially when a 100 dollar 21mm out performs the 400 dollar one. I know i had both. The only thing i have a complaint about is with 21 and having to seat and reseat the backing plate to get level so it doesnt vibrate and wobble. But once its dialed in its a beast and i love it. Like

Use this for removing gelcoat on a kayak in preparation for reapplication. Works well at a decent price

an outstanding buffer - with one caveat
this is a wonderful buffer for compounding and polishing vehicles. it's strong, powerful, quiet and virtually vibration free. i chose the five inch over the six thinking with less mass and less centripetal force there would be less vibration. i was not disappointed, this machine was a pleasure to use - even one-handed. the problem is the center drive shaft heats up so much that it actually melts the Velcro on the backing plate and melts a hole in the buffing sponge. it ruins the sponges. i had to return mine but wasn't happy about it. the solution that i found came to me after i had already sent the buffer back. spta makes a 5-inch backing plate with an additional interface plate of about a centimeter thickness which would have easily solved my problem of the overheated plate. it won't stop the heat from being produced, but it might stop the damage. if i decide to buy this buffer again, i'll include the new plates with my order because i was so impressed with its initial performance.

Value for money
Arrived within the estimated time, packaging arrived damaged but product intact. the machine is well balanced with minimal vibration and low noise. the machine got hot in one area very quickly maybe because it's new and needs to used a few times. I was able to polish an 18" x 18" area in one and a half minutes which previously took 8 minutes this enabled me to wash, clay, polish and wax my SUV in 41/2 hours which previously done by hand took me 12 hours of grinding work. The time saved was worth the purchase price.

Good value
Never had one before, seems decent quality, no overheading so far, not a lot of torque so if really trying to cut something look elsewhere, but for home guy trying to fix car paint damage hard to beat so far.

I Can't Recommend This Sander
Full disclosure: I have been refunded the entire purchase price. For the first 2 or 3 days, I had a 5 star sander. It worked great with no issues at all. Then, occasionally, it wouldn't turn off, it always turned on, but you had to "play with" the switch to get it to turn off. I contacted the seller and they responded almost immediately. After a couple emails back-and-fourth, they agreed to give a full refund. I'm REALLY bummed about it because, as I said, it worked just as I had hoped...until it didn't.5 stars to the vendor, 2 stars for the product = 3 stars overall (at least on my calculator). If anyone can recommend a different 110V DA, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Not the most powerful - Updated
I bought this to help clean and polish the sides of my camper. The gel coat was getting some oxidation and I wanted to use this to help remove it before I put a coat of wax on it. It really wasn't much help removing the oxidation but after it worked pretty well when it came to polishing the wax. If you are looking for something to help with waxing - this is it. - UPDATE I have been using this more and more for polishing my cars after waxing. I have to say I would hate to do a final cleaning and wax without it. It has proven to be a very handy tool.

Works great!
Wasn’t expecting much for the price and I’ve never used a polisher before but wanted something cheaper to try. I needed to polish my headlights. It does seem to get a little warm after 5 minutes but didn’t get hot enough that I was worried.
