It Took Three But Worth the Wait!
The third time was the charm! Tha first bulb sent was the wrong one. The second bulb arrived shattered (the packaging was ridiculous...a simple bubble envelope for a light bulb?) Ah, but when the third one arrived (the correct one that I originally ordered) unharmed, it plugged into my makeup mirror and all was right with the universe again. It took weeks and patience but I avoided spending over $179.00 for a new Zadro nickel plated tilt magnifying makeup mirror. The original lightbulb for this mirror was just over 16-years old!My heart would have been broken had I not been able to keep the best makeup mirror ever!

Great company! Love my Zadro mirror!!
So happy we found this on Amazon! When my Zadro make-up mirror light died, I thought it was the end! My husband took it apart on his own to see if he could tighten the bulb, but it was burned out. We googled the bulb type and found it on Amazon. When it arrived, he immediately tried to install it but had great difficulty. He emailed customer service and Zadro and immediately received a response and a call from them talking him through installation smoothly. He was extremely impressed with their service. Excellent!! I'm happy that my make-up mirror is working like new!

Miserable, utterly miserable
I'd have given NO stars, or even a NEGATIVE star rating, if Amazon allowed it.When we installed this, it didn't work at all, not from the second we installed, and no matter what we tried. Clearly it was defective from the minute it was shipped out. It was also poorly and cheaply packed - just the ring light stuffed into two (only very slightly padded) UPS mailer envelopes (what was up with THAT?) and jammed into a box with no other packaging. It's a miracle the light itself didn't shatter into pieces during transport. This seller has pretty harsh terms - only three days to return, they want 15% restocking fee, buyer pays return shipping, etc. Since this item was defective upon arrival, we figured those terms should be waived. And who knows, maybe they would have been...but seller never responded to any of our contact attempts, including multiple phone calls. We finally gave up since our time had/has more value and we were tired of trying to get the RMA (as required by seller) in order to ship this back. Also, seller requires that "original packaging" be used to return the item to them. Since the packaging that seller used was so...unusual (and cheap), we guessed that it was entirely possible that seller would claim that WE used the UPS mailer envelopes and thus didn't use "original packaging" - and then try to screw us and withhold 15% of our money for "restocking fee". Given all the other things wrong with this transaction, who knows...it's certainly possible that seller actually makes their money by selling defective items and then screwing the customer via the restocking fee, etc.We had read the other reviews warning about this before purchasing, but we needed this specific light for the mirror we have, so we figured we'd take a chance. Well, obviously we were wrong. Anyone reading this review and the others - know that these reviews are true. Avoid this seller. I've bought an entire new wall mounted makeup mirror, from a completely different manufacturer, and will avoid anything made by Zadro from this point on. We'll also avoid this seller.KEEP YOUR MONEY. DON'T BUY. Don't get a Zadro mirror, and if you do, when it breaks/stops working, it really is easiest and (ironically) more money-saving to just go buy a completely different mirror.Utterly miserable experience all around. I hope that my review, added to the others, will help others avoid our mistake. Really and truly: AVOID AVOID AVOID.(To anyone else who has gotten screwed by this seller, my sympathies.)

Maybe My Boss's Subtle Way of Giving Me a Makeover
My boss gave me her "broken" mirror...well, she actually told me it was broken and to throw it in the dumpster, At least $180 mirror...i really don't want to see myself up that close, but I wasn't going to toss that. Took it home, plugged it in, plugged in a night light to the outlet on the mirror....It had power! Ordered this light bulb replacement, smacked it in...hooray...now I can really see every flaw on my face amplified a thousand times.

Replacement Bulb
The item came well packed and quickly. I purchased 2 replacement bulbs. Neither of them worked. I assumed my makeup mirror was broken and that the bulbs were ok. When I emailed the company about returning them, they reply gave me 5 days and a 15% re-stocking fee! I was giving them the benefit of the doubt about it being my mirror - I don't know for sure; it could be their bulbs, not my mirror. After the shipping and the re-stocking fee it just isn't worth it to send them back so I ate over $30.

Easy replacement for Zadro mirror
Easy replacement for the Zadro mirror.I had to replace the ballast as well as the switch, essentially rebuilding the fixture but it was worth the $30 spent for this really great mirror. I used a rotary on/off switch from Home Depot and a Halco 50150 (non-dimmable) ballast that fit inside the housing easily. I had no need for the dimmable feature, so this was a good solution.

And there was light
Devastated when my light failed to light up. I'm blind as a bat and DEPEND on this mirror. It took two minutes to install and my light and life was restored!
