Cheap Soldering Iron That Surprisingly Does Soldering
Bought this 60W Adjustable Temperature Soldering Iron Kit as a cheap “keep around the craft room” soldering setup, and honestly it works pretty well for what it is. This is not a Weller. Let’s establish that immediately before somebody tries rebuilding industrial control boards with it. The iron itself actually heats up reasonably well and gets the job done without issue. For quick wiring fixes, LED stuff, connectors, and random hobby projects, it’s perfectly usable. Honestly better than expected at this price. The included accessories, however, are aggressively budget. The stand is… technically a stand. The solder they include exists. Barely. I probably wouldn’t rely heavily on either one long term, but considering the price point, it’s hard to be too offended. Overall though, for a cheap portable soldering iron or something to keep in a craft room or toolbox, it’s solid. Also, since this price range probably attracts beginners: DO NOT hold it near the metal tip like a pen unless you want to immediately learn how heat transfer works.

Perfect for small jobs
Ordered this 60W soldering iron kit for a smoker project, and it handled the job without any issues. Heats up quickly and maintains a steady temperature, which made it easy to work on wiring and small connections. The adjustable temperature is a nice feature, especially if you’re working with different components. The included tips give you some flexibility depending on what you’re doing, and the stand is simple but gets the job done. It’s not a high-end professional setup, but for DIY projects it works well and is easy to use. For the price, this is a great value. You get everything you need in one kit, and it performs well enough for most home projects without spending a lot.

Nice soldering kit, good price
This is my first soldering iron. It is nice that this kit comes with everything that you need to get started. I would have given it five stars except for, the solder and flux are separate. For a beginner it is much easier to use solder wire that incorporates the flux in the wire. The stand for the iron is also small and the iron can easily fall off of it. The iron works fine. The temperature adjustment is nice. I have already repaired several wires that our puppy chewed. This is a nice inexpensive soldering iron that will do what is needed.

Better than hakko and Weller?! Do what?
Wow! This is by far the best pencil iron I've ever used, WHEN CONSIDERING PRICE. It's dirt cheap, heats quickly, and maintains temperature fairly well. The temp adjust dial isn't especially accurate, but it get the job done fine. The instructions are on another level. Five minutes of reading and I know more about tip care, iron maintenance, and tip degradation than my father did, and he wired F16s back in the day. Along with the iron, you get a small but excellent stand, big chunk of rosin,10 feet of solder (unknown composition though), and a handful of different tips. My only complaint, and it may be a big one for some people, is that the retaining rings (holds body/heating element to the handle) really suck. The metal is thin and weak, and the threads are just nasty, unless you enjoy cross threading. I expect the rings to fail after switching tips a few more times, but I'm fairly certain JB Weld and some thin nuts will fix the issue. No problem for me, maybe for you, though. I'm gushing. This iron was a very pleasant surprise. It's a great backup for anyone, and perfect for a first iron, or for general electrical work around the house. Well done, company and factory!

Works well for wide range of joint soldering
The 60 Watt heat can handle heavy solder joints and the variable temperature control allows the heat to be reduced on small parts and circuit boards. Having a heat control, marked in Centigrade, may be unfamiliar to beginners. No information on optimal heat setting is given. Temperature regulation is good. The included solid flux and roll of tin-lead solder (no internal flux) is unusual and again my mystify beginners. While flux is essential in most soldering I don't know why they provided it as a solid rather than a paste or liquid that could be applied to the surfaces first. Certainly, conventional rosin-core solder is best for the vast majority of electrical connections. The choice of tips is a welcome addition. All in all this is a nice soldering kit and an excellent value.

Functional but poor build quality
It works and gets the job done, but the build quality is definitely on the cheaper side. Both the switch and the button feel flimsy and have started to fall apart. It’s okay if you just need something that technically functions, but don't expect it to feel high-quality.

Works better than all old school irons
Love this iron. Works so well even on heavy guage wire. Love the adjustable temps, really soft and flexible power chord. Makes soldering *Great Again ...

Complete and Reliable Soldering Kit for Small Repairs
I’ve been using this temperature-adjustable soldering iron kit for a few days, and it has been a very practical tool for quick electronics repairs and small DIY projects. The iron heats up fast, and the temperature control is accurate enough for most hobby-level work. I used it to fix a cable, repair a small PCB, and attach new connectors, and it handled all of that without any issues. The kit includes multiple tips, solder wire, tweezers, a stand, and a carrying case, which makes it easy to keep everything organized. The accessories are basic, but functional, and the case is a nice bonus if you move your tools around or keep them in a drawer. For longer sessions, the handle can get a bit warm, but nothing uncomfortable. The stand is lightweight, so it works best on a flat, stable surface. Pros • Heats up quickly and temperature adjusts easily • Comes with multiple tips and useful accessories • Great kit for beginners or small home repairs • Handy carrying case keeps everything organized Cons • Stand feels a bit light • Handle warms up during extended use Bottom line: a very solid starter kit for electronics repairs and DIY tasks. Great value for the price.
