Made from durable, corrosion-resistant PVC, it resists harsh chemicals and meets ASTM and NSF standards for potable water, supporting pressures up to 140 psi. Lightweight and compact, it ensures a secure, leak-proof connection ideal for professional-grade plumbing systems. ## Description The Spears 1429 series tube fitting is made of gray polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic and connects schedule 40 polyethelene (PE) pipe in a straight run. This coupler has barbed fittings on each end to create a tight seal on flexible PE pipe when used with a hose clamp (sold separately). PVC is corrosion resistant, and has high strength. It resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. The fitting meets D 2609 standards set by ASTM International for plastic insert fittings for use with PE pipe, as well as ASTM schedule 40 standards for wall thickness to support working pressure to 140 psi. It is certified by NSF International for use with potable water. Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness). Spears Manufacturing produces thermoplastic fittings and valves for fluid, drain, waste, and vent systems. The company, founded in 1969 and headquartered in Sylmar, CA, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001. ## Features - Connects pipe in a straight run - Fitting connects to schedule 40 PE pipe on both ends - PVC for strength and resistance to reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons - Barbed fitting creates a tight seal on flexible pipe when used with a hose clamp (sold separately) - Meets ASTM D 2609 standards for plastic insert fittings and certified by NSF for use with potable water ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B009F3N69K | | Best Sellers Rank | #27,567 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #752 in Pipe Fittings | | Brand Name | Spears Manufacturing | | Color | Gray | | Connector Type | Barb | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (114) | | Exterior Finish | PVC | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00054211105610 | | Item Dimensions | 3.19 x 1.26 x 1.1 inches | | Item Weight | 0.01 Ounces | | Manufacturer | Spears Manufacturing | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1429-131 | | Material Type | Polyvinyl Chloride | | Model Number | 1429-131 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Size | 1" x 3/4" | | Thread Size | 1 inch | | Thread Type | NPT | | UPC | 054211105610 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Spears Manufacturing - **Color:** Gray - **Connector Type:** Barb - **Exterior Finish:** PVC - **Item Weight:** 0.01 Ounces - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 3.19 x 1.26 x 1.1 inches - **Material:** Polyvinyl Chloride - **Size:** 1" x 3/4" - **Thread Size:** 1 inch - **Thread Type:** NPT ## Images ![Spears 1429 Series PVC Tube Fitting, Coupling, Schedule 40, Gray, 1" x 3/4" Barbed - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71IdPEjzs9L.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Spears 1429 Series PVC Tube Fitting, Coupling, Schedule 40, Gray, 1" x 3/4" Barbed - Spears 1429 Series PVC Tube Fitting, Coupling, Schedule 40, Gray, 1-1/2" x 1" Barbed - Spears 1429 Series PVC Tube Fitting, Coupling, Schedule 40, Gray, 1-1/4" x 1" Barbed --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/37621951-spears-1429-series-pvc-tube-fitting-coupling-schedule-40-gray](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/37621951-spears-1429-series-pvc-tube-fitting-coupling-schedule-40-gray) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
