Ultra Hybrid Designed for iPhone 7 Case - Crystal Clear

This thing is great for iPhone 8. It is a good mix of protection and not-too-bulky size, it is comfortable to hold, and most importantly the color of the phone shines through. There is a lip around the screen to provide some protection so that you don’t need to buy a screen protector. The sides are curved and feel somewhat rubberized, which makes it easy to hold and doesn’t dig into your hands. I haven’t had any big drops yet, but this thing is sturdy and it clearly provides a solid level of protection. The “air cushion technology” seems legit. There are just a couple tiny drawbacks to consider. Fingerprints do get on the back easily. But if I didn’t have a case, they’d be on the phone instead. Even with the fingerprints, it does a terrific job of showing off the space gray color. You’ll clean it from time to time. Second, it’s not quite as slim or light as I had hoped for. It’s not bulky by any means, but it does add to the width of the phone. But that’s the trade off for the level of protection, so I’m ok with it.

I bought this because I wanted a clear case, not too slippery and for some protection of the phone. I have had it for several days, so I cannot judge its durability or scratch resistance yet, but I like everything else about it and it seems pretty solid. Easy to install on the phone, comes with protective film from the factory so it is not scratched on arrival, has a raise lip around the front to protect the face of the phone. I have a separate screen protector on the front, but the face of the phone is still lower than the edge of the case if it is put down face down, the face isn't touching. The cut outs are good and all the buttons work through the case.

I have been trusting my devices to Spigen cases for years now and they have never let me down (even when I've let them down by dropping them time and time again). What can I say, as hard as I try, I'm as clumsy as a Hippo on roller skates! However, I HATE big chunky cases that detract from the sleek, sexy and slim profile of my iPhone. So, when my new iPhone 8 arrived, literally the first thing I did when I took it out of the box was apply a glass screen protector (I went with the Manto brand edge to edge one) and this clear case. First of all the two things play VERY well together in case you're wondering. The case doesn't lift up the screen protector at all. They provide all around protection without looking like they do, which is exactly what I go for! This case is SUPER slim and sleek and hardly adds ANY bulk to the phone. It makes it easier to hold, but I can still slide it in and out of my pocket with ease. It provides great minor drop protection. I've used this same case for years on other devices which have been subjected to MANY drops and have never had any damage to them! The buttons and volume rocker are covered but are SUPER easy to push with this case on. Whatever they did, I love it. The ports, speaker and camera holes are also perfectly accessible. I also love that this case does not interfere at all with wireless charging and that I can stick my magnetic magic mount on the back and use it in my car. As much as I love it, I have 2 complaints about this case. The first is based on past experience, and that is that crystal clear ones (which is what I like) tend to yellow dramatically over time, especially around the sides. Obviously this one hasn't had that problem yet, but I see it as a problem with all clear cases and fully expect this one to be the same. However, at this price, I feel like I can afford to replace the case every 6 months to a year just to freshen up the look again. I wish I didn't feel the need to do that and the case would stay crystal clear, but so far that has just never happened with a clear case I've owned, so I've lowered my expectations with clear cases. The other quibble I have is that is is says "Designed in Irvine California Made in South Korea" down the side of the case. Is that REALLY necessary to have PRINTED on the case itself!? Can't you include that information on the packaging? The point of having a clear case is the show off the phone, not your company logo, product info and other branding etc. I feel like the Spigen logo is minimal and tasteful, but this SENTENCE of text down the side feels excessive and unnecessary. This is new from the last clear Spigen case I had and is not a welcome addition. Couldn't you at VERY LEAST have abbreviated California to CA and left off Irvine? If it hadn't been for this I probably would've given this case 5 stars. It may seem minor but it drives my OCD nuts. Still, I really love this case and will continue to buy and recommend Spigen products. For the record, I have NEVER gotten anything for free or at a discount from Spigen and have always paid full price for these products just like everyone else. Hope this helps!

Excellent product. These things last a long time.

Bought this from previous experience with an earlier version for my iPhone 6s in 2015. Product lasted 7 years of occasional drops and imaginable stress from travel and outdoor hikes. Thanks to its protection, that old phone remains intact to this day and still functions without any issue (other than the periodic need for battery replacement). Even on the 7th year (end of the "case's lifetime"), the case never ripped, fell apart, or rendered my phone unprotected at any point. It just started to crack near one of the buttons which allowed one of its sides to lift a bit; while the remainder of the case remained stuck on the phone. Because my phone often outlasts its case, I often get this case and another type (extra) from Spigen before the phone model gets obsolete when replacement cases become impossible to find. This newer version I purchased for my current iPhone SE (3rd gen) is not any different. As illustrated, it similarly gives my phone an elegant look without compromising any protection at its corners and sides; or adding to its thickness. The case remains very well designed and constructed. It may attract fingerprints and oily smudges on the outside (back panel), but nothing that a simple easy wipe wouldn't fix. For a clear case it provides a very good grip. I like that it does not attract much scratches. I may agree however with other reviews that similar to their earlier version, it may still eventually "yellow" or develop a less clear crystal-like appearance in time. And this is why I recommend this case more for darker- colored iPhones (gray/silver-color at the lightest) for which any yellowing of the clear case would not affect the overall appearance of the phone - even after several years of use. I imagine this to be a different story for iPhone units that are White, or very light-colored. For its simple yet innovative construction, and the protection it provides. I give it the stars it deserves for my dark-colored iPhone.

Pretty good case for iPhone 8. It's a little thick, but not too much. You can kind of see where the extra cushioning is on the sides. Has a good lip on front so the screen doesn't touch a surface when it's face down. Cutouts are properly placed, and the covers over the buttons work properly. It's clear now, and shows the gold color pretty well. We'll see how it holds up over time, if it browns, as these things tend to do. There are some cutouts on the back near the bottom corners, that other people have noted a concern about. I'm not sure why they're there, can't really see the function. I suppose if dirt accumulates there, I can just take it off and wipe the dirt off the phone or cover. The back side has little extra curved raised up bumper type structures in the corners, which I think helps the back to not get scratched. Thoughtful. Ah, and the important part, yes it does have a fair amount of grippiness on the sides, which I like. I think the sides have a different material than the back, which is not as grippy. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this.

I've used this case for 6 years and it has saved my phone countless times. Everyone knows how easy it is to crack/break an iPhone, but with this case, I have not so much as even chipped my iPhone once. When you drop your phone, it makes your phone bounce and lessens the force of the fall. I've had people stomp on my phone, on concrete (I dropped it during a college party and someone stomped on it before they realized it was there) and my phone stayed in perfect condition. The phone case does get scratched up over time if you're constantly dropping your phone like me, but that's too be expected. It is a slim fit and doesn't make the phone bulky at all. There is also definitely room to put stickers/photos in the back, if you like to change up your phone's look without changing cases. The port/speaker holes & button areas are perfectly sized. The only con to this product is that the sides do yellow over time, and now, on my 6th year, the bumper material on the side is starting to detach from the back a little bit. Considering I've used this case for 6 years before these cons showed up though, it doesn't really feel like a con at all.

The best clear case for iPhone 7 and iPhone 8. I just can't compare the other brand with Spigen and you will feel the difference when you hold it in your hand, really well crafted.

I bought this for my wife's iPhone 7, and it does not dissapoint. Pros: - Excellent fit. It is snug, does not impede the screen in any way, and allows access to all buttons, ports without issue. - Very clear. My wife wanted a crystal clear case so that she could still see her chosen iPhone colour (rose gold), and this case provided that. No distortion or discolouration. - No discolouration over time. One thing that we were worried about when it came to a clear case, was yellowing over time. This case has been on my wife's phone for over a year, and I can say it is almost as perfectly clear and colourless as the day it was put on. Cons (areas for improvement): - The case is a bit difficult to get on and off. It fits very snug, which is a definately plus, but it could be difficult for some to get on and off. La funda protege bien, no engorda mucho el teléfono y se ve muy bien! La recomiendo mucho si buscan una transparente que sea resistente. Otro comentario que haré es que esta funda la he usado en otros modelos de teléfono (de su respectivo modelo) y suele ponerse amarillenta aunque se supone que es normal, por ser transparente.
