They look ridiculous (in a great way) under black light.And they happen to be great strings.Somewhere between flatwound and roundwound tone.I use these and Black Beauties and have never had an issue with the coating coming off.They wear out long before the coating wears off but last longer than regular roundwounds.

Just arrived this afternoon, so I've restrung my Epiphone EB3 and tried them out...perfect!!...look great against the Cherry Red body and play beautifully, not as hard on the fingertips (and I'm sure the fretboard) as regular roundwounds. I usually dont change strings on my basses unless I break one (which I havent done yet). so let's see how many years I can get out of these babies.

Very happy with them :) they look great under a blacklight, sort of giving off an orange glow (as in the picture). They're pretty nice to play, but I noticed that sliding kind of burned my fingers, but that may just be a matter of breaking them in.
