DPS 5HP MY-PS-5 Used for 3HP(2.2kW) 9A Motor, Single to 3 Phase Converter, 1 DPS Must Be Used for 1 Motor Only, Input/Output 200-240V, UL Listed

I bought a press break that was 3phase. I ordered the DPS 5hp phase converter, it has worked perfect. Easy to wire up, I'm very happy with my purchase.

This worked fine for three months but then I turned it on yesterday and the unit popped, started smoking, and tripped the breaker. Two weeks outside of the return window. Pretty disappointing.

Used on a 3 phase Hobart meat grinder. It works perfectly! Just be sure that you match it to your motors specs. I had zero experience in doing this, just a basic knowledge in electrical wiring. I still dont completely understand 3 phase power.

Runs my 3 hp powermatic table saw great. wiring instructions were pretty straight forward. works good!

I purchased an expensive but used industrial-sized fume extractor and when called the electrician out to hook up a 220 outlet he informed me that the machine was 3 phase and it would cost "thousands" to get a converter and told me I should just scrap it. Well I took a chance and purchased this, hooked it all up completely on my own, was really easy, and it runs perfectly. Don't expect great instructions and make sure you know exactly what HP your motor is, but it works. Normally this stuff never works out right for me but this time it did.

This should have just worked great. It's easy to install and doesn't have a lot of complicated settings. Could have been awesome. I bought the correct size for my compressor motor etc., but the motor would start and then run for about 10 seconds and would then shutdown due to inadequate power. On the 3 phase side you get 230 volts on two of the wires but only 170 volts on the third wire. I bought this for use at my ranch which is a couple hours away, so it took a while to install, test, work with seller tech support and by the time we determined it wouldn't work it was too late to return for a refund. I did buy a very good replacement for only $149 but it was quite complicated to set up but had great tech support and is working great. I bought the Mollom VFD on Amazon and it's working great.

Works great on my 2hp Bridgeport mill. Tried the PS-3 for the 2hp and it did not work so had to go 1hp up in size.

the chart for this product says 9amps but the lable on the product says 15amps, will blow fuses all day long.
