I’m glad I got this glue to use on ceiling tile

I ran out of this mid-project, so tried several others since I didn't want to wait for it to arrive to finish the project. I should have waited. The other adhesives — and I tried several including extreme grip, gorilla glue, liquid nails, etc. — were all supposedly super grippy, work on all substances, etc. Nothing worked as well as this one. Order more than you think you could ever possibly need, and then add 2-4 extra (you can always return it). You will go through a lot. I could not get the corners to stick using other adhesives. And the other glues ended up expanding/making the tiles not sit flush, which then had to be pulled down, wasting tile and time. Eventually a few tiles fell on their own, even after they were secured. So, I then waited for the next shipment of the A la Maison adhesive to arrive and the rest went smooth like buttah, no problems and all the corners were properly adhered. I can still tell which of the tiles had a different adhesive, since they're not as clean as the rest around the edges and I have had to spot glue them. I effed around and found out, I guess.

Covered the textured ceiling in my 1990 mobile home with decorative 16 in foam tiles in 2020. I did not scrape the ceiling and used quarter sized dollops of adhesive on the tile corners and middle. Running a bead of adhesive around the entire tile would have been too expensive and added to the weight. Fluctuating temperatures, humidity and the dry textured ceiling means occasionally adhesive needs reapplied. Perhaps the stickiness of the adhesive could be increased to a moister consistency so it clings better to plaster.

Used with ceiling planks over a year ago. They have stayed up and it was easy to use.
