I've only used a few times but would recommend. I mostly use for measuring the temp of milk I'm using for making cheese & yogurt. Features I like: (1) easy to use - on/off button is on the top and easy to find & don't have to hold down 3-5 seconds like some models, (2) the fact that the head twists from vertical to horizontal makes it easy to read and keeps steam from collecting making it unreadable, (3) accurate and dependable, (4) length of the shank (5) size of the temp printout so I'm not having to reach for glasses w/ one hand and hot milk in the other.

Very accurate and easy to use

I was very disappointed when I received this item. I really liked the looks of it but it did not appear to work When I went to return the item, Customer Service offered an easy fix. The digital thermometer now works very well. The gage is easy to read and the taperedl end makes it very accurate.

I made the mistaken assumption that this thermometer could used to measure continuous temperature. Of course, the thermometer was destroyed when left in the turkey in the oven. It didn't occur to me that a digital tool could not be subjected to a 325 degree oven. Otherwise, it worked instantly and perfectly.

I love Oxo thermometers, they are such fast readers! This is my default brand. I do usually kill them eventually by accidentally submerging/dropping them in water, or something along those lines. That being said, they really can't be beat for digital thermometers because they take the temp so quickly.

I love this thermometer! During the holiday bustle, it accidentally got dropped in the dishwater and it looked like it was ruined: Water showed through the glass and it didn't function. I set it aside on the countertop, unconsciously hoping it would dry out and work, again, and forgot about it. Three days later, BINGO! It worked again, just as effectively as before the accident! In the meantime, I ordered another one from Amazon and am now torn between whether or not I should return the new one.

I really wanted to like this. Saw all the good reviews and liked the sleeve with the temperature guide. However, after only using it twice, it stopped working. Tried resetting it. Put in a different battery. The screen lights up briefly if putting in a battery or hitting the reset, but won’t actually turn on. Very disappointed. When it worked, I liked you can adjust the display while putting the thermometer portion into the meat. I think a better design would be if the digital portion could detach from the thermometer part to make it easier to handwash.

Worked great for a while and would have worked for another long time if my wife and I had not kept dropping it from the kitchen counter. You see, this one has a on/off button on the top. When we drop it, the button takes the beating. Finally the button gave up. Otherwise it's a good product with great features. Tilting function is awesome. I'd like to see a fucture iteration with the power button repositioned to backside.

Tiene una tabla que te indica a que temperatura deberia estar el tipo de proteina que estas cocinando si quieres tenerlo a cierto termino. Me parece algo muy practico para quienes nos gusta tener la carne en el punto que queremos, pero que no tenemos tanta experiencia.

Lo uso regularmente y la verdad es que funciona de maravilla, el único punto malo es que no lo debes usar para medir temperatura del aceite ya que no soporta esas temperaturas y podrías dañarlo pero de ahí en fuera es bastante bueno

Seems to be accurate. Love the speed with which the device reaches the final temperature.
