Beginner knowledge
Good beginner book. Need more detail for serious issues.

Good, but too much short text per pathology!
Could be better! I expected a more comprehensive text, rather than a one page per chapter coverage!

Lacking essentials
More like for undergrads. Syphilis is not even classified into stages. This book seriously lacks a lot of essential info

Too lacking in detail to be useful
While I really liked the idea for this book, it is far too small and lacking in detail to make it useful. Unfortunately I am returning it. The first section has syndromes (pharyngitis, UTI etc) and the second section is 1-2 page synopses of specific bacteria and viruses. It is not detailed enough to use to expand your differential diagnosis. It is not detailed enough to use to look up a specific bacteria to really help understand clinical presentation. It is definitely not detailed enough to help use to guide therapy (for example, for legionella spp it says "macrolides, tetracyclines, and quinolones can all be used") and one would need to pull out another reference for dosage/duration/etc. There are some nice charts (ie possible etiologies of encephalitis) which I do like, but not enough to keep the book. I cannot really imagine how this might be useful in anyone's practice.

Too costly with little subject

Too basic for the level I need (post graduate medical doctor), has a couple of lines for each topic and most topics don't even fill one page - would return it if I could I've also noted that Amazon keeps saying there's only one costumer review which is always 5 stars, but when you scroll down you find a lot of others, often not as good....
