Review: Pleasantly surprised. - I was really skeptical about this. Last resort to save my tomatos from fulgisum rot fungus. Several plants were just dead as far as I could tell. For science, I left them in place but cut off all branches that had turned completely yellow. After applying the Mycostop, these plants shot up new growth! And the existing plants stabilized even though the little nodules never completely disappeared. Applied to soil mixed in water. Used a hand-pump sprayer. Wear gloves and mask! This stuff is apperently very bad if inhaled as a powder. Try not to get on plants or fruit. Just a soil treatment. Tad expensive, but I'm not gardening to get rich... Still very happy with the result.

I had a brutal outbreak of Southern Bacterial Wilt in my tomato garden at the beginning of summer and I lost around 100 plants. I tried every fungicide I could find with no effect-Bonide fungicide and Actinovate were useless and then I decided to give this Mycostop biofungicide a try out of mostly desperation. As soon as I started using it the rampant wilt began to slow and now all of the tomato plants I have treated at least three times are still alive and producing tomatoes or still growing (as I have some that are about 2 months old). This includes a root treatment (which is by far the most crucial part of the entire application), and a two week treatment, followed in three weeks by another treatment (depending on how bad the infection). I bought the 5 gram package and divided it into 10 half gram treatments, which are then mixed in a one gallon sprayer, which worked wonderfully on tomato plants. Fill the sprayer about half way and put in the half gram package-then you have to wait a little over 30 minutes-fill to the line, and agitate then place the top on and shake well before pumping the sprayer up to working pressure-spray on mostly cleaned roots for about 10-15 seconds-spray inside containers and into the soil where the plants will be transplanted. For the two week and three week treatments spray at the base of the stem for 10-15 seconds on each plant

**Q: Once mixed with water what is the shelf life of mycostop**
A: Mycostop should be used as quickly as possible after preparation, as the Streptomyces spores are no longer dormant after being mixed with water.  These spores need to find a host within a few hours to remain viable, so please apply within a few hours for best results!  Thanks for using Mycostop - VivaGrow

**Q: Can I use for Root rots in podocarpus?**
A: Do you know if it’s Fusarium wilt causing  it? I would not think it would hurt, that’s just my opinion. You never know when you may have gotten Fusarium in soil

**Q: Can this be used in dormant beds to kill existing fusarium in the soil?**
A: Mycostop needs a root system to colonize in order to be effective - adding it to dormant soil will not have any effect on Fusarium or other plant diseases.  For best results in Fusarium-rich soil, plants should be inoculated before transplant, preferably while still in smaller containers for ease of application. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Algae buildup from rockwool in DWC system, SOLVED with Mycostop in two treatments (5 grams)

It's great for the purpose it was created for and definitely helps to control algae in rockwool/hydroponic applications. I had some algae system buildup that came from a single clone's rockwool Algae robs plants of oxygen, this is not a good thing. This SOLVED a 100 gal system size in two treatments (one treatment per week). I give it 4 out of 5 stars because it is extremely expensive for such a tiny amount.
