I did replace the bearings with something a little better and now they're really fast. The bearings they come with are "okay" not bad, but definitely not fast. If you're just starting, I do suggest getting a pair with round wheels like JMK. It's just easier to turn stuff. That said, back to these. Seriously great pair, tires are not bad. I can't remember if the tools I have came with these or not but if they did they're pretty nice. The board and grip pad are great quality. It makes the skate super light which is more awesome than you'd think. The trucks are kinda thin, but not like too thin. But like the JMK skates have a way more solid truck frame you could grind on if you're into that. Not sure how these would hold up, but... I'm looking closer.. it's pretty solid.
